OK I need find these sections of this book for my Phlioshopy class, the book being "Schick, Theodore & Lewis Vaughn. How to Think About Weird Things: Critical Thinking for a New Age." The problem being my teacher put in the wrong edition in her sylabus, as it reads in sylabus (Schick, Theodore & Lewis Vaughn. How to Think About Weird Things: Critical Thinking for a New Age. 3rd Edition. McGraw-Hill: 2002. ISBN: 0-7674-2048-9) but the book I needed and the book sold at our school's bookstore is 4th edition, my teacher made a typo on the edition.as she put the 4th edition in her older classes sylabus. The problem being I need to see the Critical Reading and Writing section of Ch.7,8,9 as that's the part she wants turned in but since my edition of the book I ordered doen't have it and with time running low, that leaves me in abit of a pickle as those are the only pages I need but I have no way of getting them cause places I've called doen't have it.

Here's the catch: I need one of the parents to be from China or Japan. The other parent can be from anywhere, but I've always imagined from Germany or Russia given that the two parents named their son Vladimir.
The story is taking place slightly in the future, but these two descendants can be from any past time period. They needn't be his parents; just to be in his genealogy.

I always imagined that his father was a Russain scientist during the beginning of World War II, who agreed to help America in order to come over.

The problem with this is America's distrust in "commies" and how would this scientist meet and fall in love with an asian?

Having been into short film for a while now and armed with a great, albeit twisted and dark idea, I have decided to bite the bullet and make a short film/cartoon. I cannot draw myself and am always astounded by how many people are shown on the credits of even the smallest films. Where do I start, get funding tell me EVERYTHING!

I'm looking for serious philosophical answers. How is art defined. Where is the line between art and non-art. In photography, where is the line between art and pornography. What is art to you? Describe it.

There is not really a right or wrong answer because someone who may be well read in one area might not have a clue about the others. But just overall what do you think?

Thanks for the answers.

In dreams, when you are bodiless and enter into someone else's body (freely, as they inhabit it) - what is that called?

Is there an actual term for it?

I am speaking of anything regarding the action of "stepping into" someone else's body and borrowing them, so to speak - seeing things through their eyes.

I just bought the book "Flags of our Fathers", but I once read part of another book about Iwo Jima and I really liked it, but I can't remember the title or the author. My uncle died there and today is Veteran's Day, which reminded me of this.
