Your asking for more than a book length dissertation to get your homework done. By the way you’re in the wrong category for homework.
That said. . . . . .
As BethS stated, you can’t put a date on the beginning of transportation. You can’t even say it was invented, rather, it evolved. For example, when was the first car invented? Guido da Vigevano in 1335 made a design. It was a windmill type drive to gears and thus to wheels. Vaturio designed a similar vehicle which was also never built. Later Leonardo da Vinci designed a clockwork driven tricycle with tiller steering and a differential mechanism between the rear wheels. Clearly none of these became the automobile of the Americas, but these designs were known and contributed to what would become that automobile. Where do you put that date?
Even when the first car did exist in the Americas I suggest that you can’t set that as the date of transportation. It would be years until the automobile evolved into more than a play thing. Even when it was actually recognized as transportation that couldn’t be set as the date of transportation because it was based on preexisting transportation methods because the automobile body and suspension were based on the existing horse wagons and coaches which already had existed for hundreds of years.
However, it is fair to say that transportation did evolve in the Americas and that it did have an impact on most of the culture. Say for instance you look at food. There was a time when food was mostly locally produced. As transportation improved (that is being faster, and able to carried greater amounts) food costs (at least for those in an urban area) decreased, a trend that continued. When ice was applied for cooling, food spoilage was reduced and a greater variety of food could travel greater distances and refrigeration in transportation enhanced this transportation capability.
Job availability has been impacted by transportation. For example, most local areas were served by local dairies which employed local people. As transportation evolved dairies could be consolidated transferring local jobs to larger urban areas.
One of the major areas in which transportation impacted Americas was control over their own lives. The continued lowering cost of transportation and the improving road ways, rail roads, and air flight, allowed people to move at will to places they deemed better for their future.
Each of these three items I’ve mentioned can easily take a book to describe the impact of transportation on people.

First, I don't think you can assign a "year" to when transportation was invented. People have always been able to walk and carry items from place to place.
As transportation improved from pack animals carrying goods, to planes and trains and such, goods & services get from point A to point B a lot faster. As far as a change in lifestyle, better/faster transportation would mean from free time to pursue leisure activities. It would be good economically, as well.
