If a question makes you think, no matter what that question is, is that not an intelligent question? Intelligence come from thinking, so a question that produces thought would be intelligent despite opinions or an answer that have no thought to it. How and what could you identify as a stupid question when you have to have a thought to answer it? Keep in mind stupidity involves no thinking.

I'm on the forensics team at my HS, but I can't think of a decent book, prose or monologue that I can present effectively. The book I wish to do is out of print and the sponsor says I should choose a piece I can "connect" with and that I should do a piece by an Asian author. Therefore, are there any good pieces of literature that I can possibly present for the team meet? Help please! (Oh, and not Memoirs of a Geisha because my teammate is already doing that.)

It needs to be a fantasy or science fiction, and I don't want it to be extremely gory, extremely sexual or extremely foul in language. Please, I need something...quick! Immediately, answer this question before I pass out...hack, hack, hack,...oh, i think i'm dying, unless i get something that i can read!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

In Nicholas Poussin's famous painting of the the two shepherds and the rock there is the inscription 'et ego in arcadia'. To win the prize, all you have to do is unscramble this anagram into a well known latin phrase or saying. Clue: it contains a warning and indicates some holy **** the templars(rosy cross folk) may have brought back from Jerusalem in 12Cent.

I do not have any background in film making / acting / arts. But I feel that this unique, non-fiction idea make for a powerful documentary. This will involve profiling lives of some monks who are educated, erudite, live in big cities but live a life of almost zero consumption of resources, all by choice. For example, can you imagine people doing inter-cty travel on foot (yes, walk every day for 2-3 months to cover, say, 1000 miles).

This lifestyle can be contrasted with the other extreme - where consumption and material possesion drive the lives.

All I have is this idea - is there a way I can send it to some documentary film makers who have the talent, passion, background to make this type of a non-fiction film. I am a professional working for a large corporation and have no clue beyond a 1-page outline on this idea. Thanks for your help in guiding me to some names / forums. I am prepared to send "cold emails" to whoever I need to :)

Thanks!!

There is a woman who lives with flatmates in London and as her day progresses it becomes more and more like alice in wonderland. So much so that as her roommates throw a Alice-themed party while she meets her fiance's parents for the first time, it turns into the Mad Hatters party. My memories are vague but I would love to know the name of this book. Thanks!

There is in all things a pattern that is part of our universe. It has symmetry, elegance, and grace - those qualities you find always in that which the true artist captures. You can find it in the turning of the seasons, in the way sand trails along a ridge, in the branch clusters of the creosote bush or the patterns of its leaves. We try to copy these patterns in our live and in our society, seeking the rhythms, the dances, the forms that comfort. Yet, it is possible to see peril in the finding of ultimate perfection. It is clear that the ultimate pattern contains its own fixity. In such perfection, all things move toward death.

Thoughts?

This question is not designed to be offensive, merely to generate discussion.
Well I state some of the most obvious:
Both obsessed with Jews.
Both idealised rebels.
Very concerned with the rest of humanity.
This question is concerned with what they have in common, we are not playing spot the difference!!

I'm headed down to Argentina in December and I want to make sure I can dance. Is there a good latin dance studio that anyone can recommend?

Also, are classes mostly couples, or single people? I can imagine it would feel really odd if everyone else in the class were all couples.
