i mean look at it france has been one of the bigest speakers in the middle east but they always take the side of the arabs not that that's bad or any thing but when it comes to Israel a country that has been under threat since it was reformed. and it's starts fighting back france is the frist to condem them for it. and here lately france has been very anti usa all the way around so can we consider them an ally or should we be always looking over or soulder to see what they are up to

I read The Prince once years back and had trouble finding the clear amorality that has been spoken of. But I should read it again, to be fair and current in my knowledge. Some might say it was immoral. But I more read it as thesis for what Niccolo believed to be practical behavior based on his understanding of history, albeit with some distortions, as I understand it. Still, I believe he did also advice Princes against being unfair to his subjects, and unduly cruel. Granted, that might not have been said out of genuine concern, but if it was there, it could somewhat, at least, contradict the notion that Machiavelli was unconcerned with harm and consequences so long as an end is met.

What do you think?

Just by viewing the titles, which of the two books would you be more apt to pull off of the shelf to read the inside/back cover to find out more. Also, about what would you expect the book to be and in what section of the bookstore/library do you think you would find the book?

If you will, please, also give your gender and age.

Why is it that in the present day, people expect everyone to be void of normal and natural human emotion? Are we supposed to all be humanoids now? Robotic for Big Brother?

The train car shops in Altoona have been closed down for a couple of years already, but I know they have a great history behind them. And I'd like to know what that history is. Can someone give me a link for some info?

Personally, I believe than man is innately a moral creature... that these morals derive from higher cognition and that religion is an early attempt to rationalize it. Unfortunately, over the ages, that has been forgotten. How else could you explain why the tenants of every major world religion throughout time has been so similar? They all attempt to explain why things are right and why they are wrong, even though they may not agree on all issues, the intent to rationalize actions are there.

So did religion invent morality, or did morality invent religion?

Children go stay with relatives in a big house on the ocean, has a secret room they discover. They also uncover a Roman road while exploring the woods nearby. Can't remember if they were orphans or just there for the summer. Had no luck with Google. And it's not a Nancy Drew/Hardy Boys book. Any of you who were kids back then remember this book?
