The death penalty is a good thing because it gets rid of all those people who have killed other people. You don't want to take the chance of the person escaping. I think it should only be used for someone who has killed though. I know it has been used for other things but I think that if they killed someone then they should get the equal punishment.

For those people who don't agree with the death penalty, I say we take the child rapists and murderers and send them to live with them in their homes. Let's see how quickly they change their minds then.
