The two are mutually synonymous.

The word your looking for is other than happiness, though I know what you mean. Happiness depends on circumstance and this can often be created artificially by money.

Joy, love, peace, contentment, is what I think you're going after.

It is not guaranteed you'll have any of the above with or without money.

It's just a tool.

Necessary, useful, which must be accorded a subordinate place in life as it has a way of subordinating the owner of it through the owners' own myopia.
