You're travelling on a train with several carriages, you're in the middle. You look out the window, from a certain angle you can see the carriages behind you as they curve round the track. You look the other way and can see the engine. Could you say that you are looking back at the past / looking at the future? If you ran down the carrriage or up the other end would it be travelling in time or are you always in the present?

I am asking specifically of the Celtic and Norse cultures. I understand there is limited information and that every culture is different and has a different starting point. I'd be interested how the Greeks counted as well. Please no biblical answers, that's not what I'm looking for.

If man hadn't experienced pain would pleasure not have come about. If pleasure came about first, why then pain?
(I'm talking physical sensations here not mental thoughts considered as the same type of pain and suffering.) OK

I love the comedy in all the hitchhikers' guide to the galaxy books.

To all you book experts out there, is there any other books with lots of comedy like hitchhikers' guide to the galaxy? Thx.

The kind of drawings I am preferring to are comics. Whenever I scan my comics, the quality of the comics are bad and I don't have any software to sharpen the quality. I draw the comics with pencil then outline with pen. The quality is always bad and I want to know if a kind of software to help me fix that problem. To see some of these comics, go to www.a1soft.com/gami-pan.

Preferably chapter books in the 8-12 age range. The only really good ones I've ever come across was the Golden Filly series by Lauraine Snelling. Know of any others?

I'm talking about painting on canvas - I'd like to use something that still offers bold color & texture, but isn't plastic. I don't like using oils.

Well, what i am asking is that let's say that you live in Florida and California is so far away, it is across the country! I live somewhere between there and it definatly is NOT a populaur state. No famous people live there except for a few. My sister and I want more than anything to become famous, but we really don't know how. I mean, we know that you have to have an agent, but we pretty much don't know how to do any of it. Not even the agent part. We really hope that we will become famous and please help! Thank you so much,

Im looking for a background from my blog page and I see all these people with "punk rock" backgrounds if you will. If you all use any site such as myspace or anything like it Im sure you know what Im talking about. The emo-esque pictures of newspaper clippings, blood splatter, ransom letters, sketch drawings, handwritten phrases youd find on a loners bedroom wall, etc. I just want to know where I can find backgrounds like this. Ive searched many things and come up with nothing. Any help would be great. Thanks.

For his epic and touching film "Cast Away", Tom Hanks portrays a survivor on an uncharted Island. It appears that the right conservative wing has mocked the film as a flick where a man spends 15 minutes opening a coconut. I don't get it. This is a story of man's survival in the most difficult of situations. Yet this film is subjugated by low functioning "philosophers" to a level about a moron who is incapable of opening a nut. It appears that Tom Hanks is a magnet for bad revues from the right wing arena. Does anyone have enlightenment why these kind of thumbs down revues surface for brilliant Tom Hanks films?
