I had this book when I was little. Late 80's to mid-90's probably. I can't remember if it was one book, or a bunch of small ones. It was kind of a safety book, about talking to strangers and such. I remember one story of a girl who told her mom that her uncle touched her. And another about a boy going to the mailbox by himself or something, and things like that. About not taking candy from strangers, and what to do if certain things happen to you.

I'm asking because my little sister is slow, and I think reading it might help her understand better. It came up because some guy stopped my 13 year old sister on the street today. So yea, any idea what I'm talking about?

I had a fantastic professor who believed everyone should have a little Shakespeare at their disposal at all times. I personally love the St.Crispin's day speech, but what are some other great ones?

What would constitutes as sin? Or what constitutes as the greatest evil? Where would morals and goodness stand if afterwards there is nothing?

I think religion was formed because human are selfish and they believe there right. Because we are flawed we ended up separating ourselves in the pursuit of god. I think in the end we all answer to the same being, no matter you religion, spirituality, and beliefs. The only thing that will matter is that you lived a good life and tried to be moral and ethical in the choices you make. If only one religion is write what happens to the rest of the world? What do you think?

When in high school, I took some literature classes but I know so little about literature that I'd need somebody's help to answer a question my friend keeps asking me. She's now a high school student and finds it very difficult to analyze novels. The main problem seems to be that she doesn't understand the 'point': why do we analyze literature? Also, she feels confused when the teacher seems to know very clearly which comments made by students are correct and which are wrong. Is lit analysis just meaningless discussions that don't lead to truth or what is the very right way to analyse a novel?
I've heard many times that there is no one single truth in lit. analysis but still there are people who are more succesfull in that than others. How come?
I'm not questioning lit analysis - I really liked it at school. All I would need now is an answer that motivates my friend. Thanks in advance!
