3 things in 3 fields(last one personal, 1st 2 lil boring so skip);
1. Philosophical-I wrote a thesis few years ago on relationships, envy and overprotectionism. I came up with a few "mind-tactics" to allay fears and paranoia of betrayal and infidelity. Though alot came from a guy called Levinas and Buddhist Psychotherapy, combining the two in an original way made me get a dam good grade.
2. Physics-wrote a paper on a problem regarding multi-dimensional theory for subatomic particles trying to explain why we only experience the normal 4 dimensions but some particles act on an 11 dimensional basis. It was rough, mind-bending but such a challenge that i thought it was a great idea. Have yet to get it looked at-prob crap so.
3. Personal-"letting go". Its one of those ideas we all know and people advise but when we truly HAVE the idea its a great feeling. Went to Germany to get back the girlfriend who i loved but who went off with her ex. The whole family loved me enough to pay for the flight and try and break her up. I saw how happy she was with him, got to know him(lived with them even!!!) and had the idea that if i love her then her happiness is paramount. If she;'s happier with him then i should let her go. Anything else is bull$hit from insecure pride and arrogance. So-i simply "let her go". Never heard from her ever again.
