I will be looking for what I think to be a best answer. I believe Jacob's (Israel's) family spoke Old Aramaic when entering Egypt around 1875BC; they would not have picked up the Canaanite dialect before that time because of limited contact and Israel's children grew at first in the land of the Arameans, I suppose in Modern day Lebanon and Leigha and Rachel were Aramean. Moses was learned in all of the wisdom of the Egyptians. The Israelites had no chance to learn Canaanite after the exodus in about 1445 BC. In my view Egyptologists have not focused on patterns of correspondence between Biblical Hebrew and Egyptian hieroglyphic writing.

It was about a girl who survives a disaster alone. I think her name is Cassandra. Her family has a completely equipped survival shelter in the basement of their house, and she makes it into that shelter. She is exceptionally intelligent. The shelter is filled with books and anything else she would need to survive.

I thought it was by David Brin, but have not been able to find it. I would appreciate any help you can give me, the name of the book or a site that might help me find it.

Obviously, it can't "think," but is there anything else that makes it known to itself that it exists? Is it its "need" to go forward? What is it other than "I think therefore I am" that tells it "it exists"? If there's such an agency, would it be concentrated in the roots, in the trunk, the leaves, the fruit, or the seed? Could it be in the roots and in the new seeds?
