My favorite genre is historical because I get to learn something as I'm being entertained. I love getting introduced to obscure little corners of history and real life figures I've never heard of.

In my opinion, the best books make it easy for me to relate to both the protagonist and antagonist. They may belong to a completely different culture and time, but there's something universal in their feelings and their circumstances. Love, war, jealousy and altruism are pretty much the same no matter where you are. Heroes have to have normal human failings for me to find them believable. Similarly, villains have to have believable motivations too. Nobody (outside of James Bond movies) wakes up in the morning deciding to wreak havoc just for the fun of it. They always have some reason for acting the way they do that makes perfect sense to them - even if it doesn't to anyone else. And I want to know what that is.

It has to be either the Harry Potter books or the Series of Unfortunate Events books. Oh yes I can totally relate to the characters and the books help me from concentrating on the problems of the world and personal as well.

The Gemma Doyle Trilogy (an recommendations-blowing and poor elegance, insurrection Angels and A sweet far element) A Wrinkle in Time (in case you want summary recommendations, you'll love this e book) The Giver (ditto with this e book) The e book Thief (i have not study this yet, even if the summary seems so, so, so good) in case you're a hopeless romantic and do not recommendations ridiculously tacky plots, I propose studying some thing through Stephanie Laurens. there is activity (the sex, love, secret variety) and warm adult males wearing cravats. that is a chick lit even if, so do not allow it develop into your in undemanding words source of studying. actual study delight and Prejudice! each lady has to study delight and Prejudice a minimum of once of their lives! yet because you're on the Jane Austen music, study Persuasion, Mansfield Park and Northanger Abbey afterwards (in that order) first previously you handle Emma and experience and Sensibility.

In terms of genre, I prefer science fiction and fantasy. And I like well-rounded characters and a good plot rather than just space battles. The protagonist doesn't have to be completely good. He's more believable if he has some faults, maybe even one or two bad habits.

I enjoy fiction, mainly historical. But I am attracted to the occasional memoir. I prefer books with females as main characters, especially independent ones. I like characters that aren't perfect and accept their faults. Yes, I like to relate to protagonists. I enjoy characters that are like me, share their thoughts, and that do not feel obligated to give up who they are. (This was common in the era I like reading about.) I LOVE timeless classics, but not mushy cliche endings. (Well, only once in a while, if I see fit to the plot, but it's not my taste..)

CAN YOU GUESS MY FAVORITE BOOK?

Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen!

I enjoy Louis L'Amour and Stephen King. I don't necessarily relate to the characters, but I always wanted to live in the old west and be a cowboy, so I guess that's why I like L'Amour and why the Dark Tower series by King attracts me so much.

I like books that keep the action going from the begining to the end. It keeps you on the edge. I hate books that start out boring and don't have any real backbone and boost. If it's not interesting from the beginning, I stop reading before getting to the good parts. I get bored another words. I like books that are full of action, adventure, mystery, survival, and magical.

I love reading thrillers most. Right now as I'm reading McAnthony's Wars by Michael Shina Crown, my attention is glued to it because of its intriguing nature. In every protagonist, I love the courage in them and their ability to curtail problems.
