dance is an EXPRESSION. it works like a mirror, reflecting your soul. dance utilizes the EMOTIONS, and like a singer puts her all into that last vibrating note, the dancer brings out the emotion through her body. it is letting go, letting the music sweep you away into its rhythm.
it is not the mere movement of limbs as a result of prolonged training to twist the body in an irregular manner. we are WARRIORS of spirit, who show BEAUTY in another way because it does not matter what color skin, or even weight (because i know some excellent dancers that are far from stick thin) or your ability to do five pirouette turns.
it is body language- for it is well known that as much as words can move a reader to tears...also to watch a body fall and rise and have such energy radiate to the tips of their fingers, that their faces are indecipherable because they are, in a sense 'lost'....is beauty in its rawest form.

Dance in the real sense is when the dancer disappears and only the dance remains. Dancing as an art form is the only art which needs no preparation and is purely spontaneous.

a silly remnant of some matting dance ritual from way back in our past, much like many other animal have. dancing is the dumbest thing I have never seen.

It's an art form and one of the most beautiful art forms at that as there can be no prep in this, can be as spontaneous as you want it to be and can come directly from your soul. It can be with or without music, spastic, rehearsed, or just plain silly.

Hmmm...The expression of your emotions in motions! :) ...i just get really emotional when I dance I've cried on stage like twice for lyrical because I was just so happy/sad! lol
