I mean it's more usual in teens and twenties? or is it? There are plenty men and women at my work 30/40/50's who are very promiscuous and don't care who knows the details. They have been around and had shots with each other and so on for years. I wasn't too popular for not being part of it a couple of years ago when i began my job there. Never will entertain it as it's not me. Oh just in case you think I'm prudish - far from it but i think the longer and more familiar you are with a partner the better sex can be. I'm just surprised its the norm even among married/attached people of both sexes.

Ok...I've seen the movie about 5 times now, and I loved it, but I'm confused about 1 thing. When Katherine Winter (Hillary Swank) first got to the town, and throughout much of the movie, it seemed that the town was in general disagreement about the plagues (and whether or not they actually were plagues), the cause of the plagues, and such. Was all of this just a ruse to lure Katherine to come to the town to investigate? I understand all of the rest, but that's the only thing that really, really confuses me, and it's really bugging me!

If you believe the Bible, which is a necessity to be a Christian, can you give me scriptural justification for believing that it is an ok way to conduct your life? If you don't have scriptural backing, how can you hold this belief?

I know what I believe the Bible says, and I know that many non-Christians believe this lifestyle is acceptable, but I am looking for answers from professed Christians here. I already know what many other people would say in answer to this, I'm looking for something else. Please respect my parameters for this question. Thank you.

If you need to keep saying that, something's wrong. Isn't it because, maybe, it is not peaceful and you have to keep lying to yourself and others? I'm sure that the overwhelming majority is made up of normal, peaceful folks, but Islam truly is/was violent at the core. Buddhism, on the other hand, is indeed peaceful and you don't hear buddhists saying that all the time, if ever, because everyone knows that through the way they act.
