This forum is designed to be a place where questions and answers are exchanged. Community Guidelines clearly and explicitly set out rules which preclude chatting, ranting, insulting other forum users and many more things besides.
Yet in th 3 months or so that I have been here, in most every section, it seems more like a social networking site. Q&A are posted to provoke responses. Set agendas. Retaliate or disprove ideas set out in previous Q&A. And I wonder if this were not the case, whether the site would exist, or perhaps just become one vast Homework Help forum, relying on the generosity of those able to contribute.
Given that (in my view), this forum is more Edutainment and Social Networking than some "pure" Q&A ideal, and the human tendency to use all means of communication to relate to each other,
