Don't panic at the shock headline, read on:
In Revelation 22:16 Jesus descibes Himself as the bright and moring star: "I Jesus have sent mine angel to testify unto you these things in the churches. I am the root and the offspring of David, and the bright and morning star."
However, at the same time in Roman astronomy, Lucifer (name meaning Light Bearer from the Latin: lucem ferre), was the name given to the morning star otherwise known as Venus . It was and still is described as the bright and morning star, as was Jesus.
As symbolism was the main tool of impact at that time, my question is this, have we mis-interpreted the role of Lucifer?
