Hello,
I have a question, first some background, when I was born I was mutilated on my eighth day. That is my foreskin was removed and all the goodies with it. I feel I was violated and had no say "NO"! If I was an Adult back then under no circumstances would have allowed this to happen. I had no say in this it was just done. I'm angry and feel helpless but nothing that I can do now. It is too late to take any action these days.
I asked my Mother why she did that to me. She could not come up with a perfect explanation. Outside that it was what was needed to be done. I'm bit mad at her but it is not her fault totally. She trusted what was best for me at the time.
Has anyone "gotten even" and sued the religious doctors? Just like to understand the other side of this. I'm just curious do not have any plans to start any actions at the moment.

Nope,
No mistake was done but I'm referring to my literal feelings. It was done without my consent. Obviously I was an infant to have a say!

Why they had a right to touch my body part! It is mine, it is part of me and I will eventually part with it.

I'm Generation Y not BB, you would not understand unless it happened to you. I do have a scar, and I have to see it everyday in the restroom. My motive is not for the money totally.

Yup Mac, you caught what I said I'm more cooled off right now. When started the topic, was not thinking straight. Was impulsive at: " I want to get back at them for what they did." Kind of feel more remorseful for my outburst.

Oleander,
I'm not sure if I would want to start it at this point. If I ever would which seems most unlikely; as I am more interested in other views. But thanks for bringing up the information. I would never sue my mom though no matter what. Cause she gave me life and what she did was an uninformed Askenazi choice / descision.
If I ever change my mind, that is doubtful right now. I'll need to dig up tons of info as it happened many years ago. If the person(s) / organization is even alive that performed it at the time.
I stand by what I said but I do feel remorseful / guilty for thinking of "getting back." But it is my body, so yes I see the point.

Mick, if you really want to know, you could probably sue the rabbi and you parents if you so choose, for sexual assault and robbery, possibly sexual harassment, since they harmed you in a sexual way. From Wikipedia:
"According to the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, sexual assault includes inappropriate touching, vaginal, anal, and oral penetration, sexual intercourse, rape, attempted rape, and child molestation plus torturing the victim with many sexual ways"
As for robbery, they took something, off your person I might add, without your consent. This could even qualify as plain assault as well, since they harmed you. I say go for it, if you get a good enough lawyer, you could set a great precedence that would get organizations to think twice about circumcising infants, and even small boys for that matter. Foreskin is actually better for you in regards of sensitivity, and there are many myths regarding it as well, spread by pro-circumcision advocates. Be sure to publicize your lawsuit too, so that the whole country knows. I myself would love the practice to be stopped, as it does strip the male of his basic rights entitled to him to govern his own body.

I congratulate you on having so little in life to be concerned with.
I was done as an infant, its no big deal, although I choose not to take that action with my sons. They seem content about it. What is done is done, and yes there are the health effects to consider. It is certainly not just a religious doctors thing. Think you better look for a better way to make money, the doctor followed your parents wishes and they gave legal consent. If you were mutilated in some way it would be different, although I would have expected your parents to have taken some action before now if that was the case.
Be safe and be sage

Circumcision was the norm in the 60's at least and most hospitals did it as routine. In actual fact it is healthier to be circumcised as you keep it cleaner and are less pron e to infections, also it increases sensation during sexual acitivity.
Personally I think you should get a life and stop quibbling about something that you simply can't correct. Your parents ultimately agreed to it and rather than moan about it (presumably to see if you can get some money) get on and be thankful they didn't take your knob off instead.

are you saying that you got mutilated from the circumcision, like they did it wrong? if they did it right there is no way you can take action against them. if they did further damage there are ways you can sue, because there is a time frame for litigations but there are some loopholes behind it

when you said eight days old when circumsiced, do you mean you had a bris and are jewish, cuz im jew, and i reckon its better without fore skin, fore skin is gross, and by scar, you mean under the knob, cuz everyone gets that, and how can you be angry, like 40 % of the population in america is like circumcised, it stops infections and you can piss and bathe more freely and chiks like it better without eewwwy foreskin
