It is the day or rest after the birth of Christ. The day when food boxes were handed out to the poor. A day to spend with the family and friends. A day to get over all the indulgence of Christmas day!!

It's some kind of Canadian holiday. I used to leave where there were a lot of Canadian drs. and they would always ask if we celebrated boxing day. That's like us expecting the English to celebrate Thanksgiving - LOL!

I was very disappointed to discover that Boxing Day had nothing to do with the sport of the same name.

I thought it was a day for guys to put an empty package between their knees so they could see what it's like to walk around with a box between their legs.

As a kid, I used to think it was a day to celebrate Boxers as in the sport Boxing lol.

Is that what boxing day is?? We always thought it was called boxing day cos its the day you box up your tree and decorations?? Well there you go- you learn lomething new everyday!!

kind of think really to recover over eatin an drinkin xmas day an somethin to do wiv boxes so assume tidying them up after open presssies
