ive got a 2wire modem and it seems as though its incompatible with vista, i can afford a different one any suggestions?

Well, a 2wire is indeed compatible with Vista!!! It is really a router and not a modem and I am using three Vista machines here with a 2wire AT&T line, no problems whatever.

If you are trying to run the setup CD, then yes there probably are issues, but you DONT need the CD.

You need to connect with a cable to one of the plugs on the 2wire, reboot Vista, and correctly setup the router and your machine using the setup tools on the router and your web browser! It works, it is working, you need to correctly setup the machine. Vista is a pain to get setup but it will work with your router.

actually vista requires a internal modem and it must be of gud quality .....or ur drivers of modem must noe be installed ....check it out.................
