I don't want to be offensive to my born again friend but its getting really hard to not laugh when she tells her God, who loves me so much he is going to send me to hell if i don't convert.. how can i control my facial expression more effectively

It's late and I'm feeling silly......it time for a list of extreme, as wild as you want to get methods of tattoo removal.

The question is this:

Find the linearization (linear approximation) of f(x) = ln(x) at a =1, then use it to approximate ln (0.98) and ln (1.05). Draw the linearization at a=1, are your approximations over or under approximations? Check on your calculator, how close are you?


I did the first part, I got y=x as the linear approximation. I just don't know how to use this to approximate ln (0.98) and ln (1.05). Would it be 0.98 and 1.05? I'm so confused. Please help! All work should be shown since I need to understand this completely and not just know the answer. Thanks in advance!

Also, I forgot the other question. It is as follows:

2. What function would you use to create a linear approximation for (8.06) ^ (2/3)? Approximate the value using linear approximation or differentials.

Now, I'm thinking that we know the value for 8^ (2/3) and it would just be (8 + x) ^ (2/3) but I'm not sure if this is right and what to do from here

Sure there are a lot of wacky fundamentalists who give the religion a bad name, but they are no worse than fundamentalists of any religion and they are a very small minority. For the most part we are moral, law abiding citizens who don't look to push our religion on anybody else. If the religion really helps us as people, then why do you feel it neccessary to prove that it false?

Why is my prayer anymore a waste of time than your sitting on Y!A? Why are you here? If prayer is a waste of time, isn't Y!A also? So quit wasting your time here...get out and DO.

Someone will call me a hypocrite because I am here too. I am simply pointing out that if my praying for the needy is a waste of time, then you sitting on Y!A is a waste of time as well. You aren't doing anything constructive to help at this moment...so why aren't you out doing something?

Oh, wait, I forgot Christians waste time by praying (according to you atheists). Atheists never waste time, now do they? They are always doing for others with every spare second they have...

Yep, this is basically a big F you, if you tell Christians they should be constantly doing instead of praying, and that you are superior because you DO with your time.

i have an hp pavilion dv6000, vista is saved to the hard drive instead of on a cd. i know how to reload vista so that it clears my entire system, which is what i want to do. but how do i open up the screen to do this? my desktop at home tells me to press a button when its starting up but this laptop does not.
