Why is Jeopardy aired on ABC, but it has CBS as one of its credits?

Some shows are produced independently of a network; but may be produced INSIDE a network studio.

SONY owns Columbia Pictures; of which CBS is a part. Sony produces Jeopardy; then sells it to any independent station that wishes to air it in a particular TV market (area).

The station that airs the program may or may not have a network affiliation. They have simply purchased the rights to air the program; usually in the time slot between 7 and 8 PM, before the network shows kick in.

CBS (or rather CBS Television Distribution,p/k/a KingWorld) syndicates the show to local stations, regardless of network affiliation.

[Sony Pictures Television (Columbia Pictures/Columbia-Tristar) has produced "Jeopardy!" since buying the show from the late Merv Griffin in 1986.]

CBS dropped the KingWorld moniker last year (they've owned that company since 1998).

Because quite often a show will be produced by one station, but it will be sold off to other stations in other markets. It credits CBS because CBS paid for the rights to air it. Or vica versa
