Pullman represents the new face of atheism: it is aggressive, dogmatic and unrelenting. It is also fueled by hate—by a crusading hatred of all religions, but most especially of ours. His side is counting on our side to lie down and die. He may have experienced little resistance in England, but it’s a different story here.

I guess nobody of us had any control on where (in which womb / in which family) on this earth we wanted to take birth.

- If you are a Christian now, and assume you were born in a Muslim family in a Muslim country .. which faith you would have followed?
- If you are a Muslim now, and assume you were born in Christian family in a western country .. which faith you would have followed?

How much is the chance that you would have followed your current religion, faith or beliefs?

I think its the real estate tax. I cannot think of one that actually causes the most grief to citizens. can you envision all those old people on fixed incomes paying thousands of dollars in tax just because they own a house? I mean if your house is worth $200,000 for example, and its been your home for 30 years, and your tax is $5000 a year, but your household fixed income is like $30,000 total, which is supposed from which you pay a mortgage, buy food, pay for medicine and all your other expenses.

Though I often come across a great many most wonderful people I've found rather a lot recently that people don't seem to be as kind to each other, here's a few examples.

1. I held the door open for a lady and her child in a pram, she did not say thank you and let it slam in my face.

2. I stopped a gentleman whom had dropped money from his wallet he picked it up then just gave me a horrible dirty look and kept walking.

3. Whilst doing my shopping earlier this week I asked a member of staff if they would get me an item which I was unable to reach, they merely said "I'm busy" and walked away in the opposite direction, not very helpful at all!

I know I probably sound like some rambling old man but it's something that I've been finding a lot of recently I can recall what it was like many years ago that age seems to be gone now, but I'm very grateful for your answers.

I'm 76 years old and wishing you all the best,
You take good care, Alfred

and am wondering how much exposure to other children he needs.? I moved to a new place about 8 months ago and friends are few and far between. I have been with him almost his entire life. (hardly any day care) People are always saying negative things about him not being in preschool or daycare but I don't really see why that matters all that much. My son is very intelligent ,but is also very hypersensitive. I am really worried about his social skills and his seperation anxiety. . Any advice with someone who is in the same situation or was in this situtation. What should I do? And no I am not planning on having any more children.

My friend has had all these bad things happen to her in the past 2yrs since meeting a guy that possibly wants to start seeing her again(a recent string of bad luck):

1) on the 1st sexual encounter she had with this guy while they were dating, she got pregnant (this was despite using condoms--which broke--and taking the morning after pill)

2) while pregnant, her friends criticized the guy & meanly assumed that he wouldn't be there for her or the kid. She miscarried not long after.

(some time later, her and the guy broke up)

3) she had 2 friends + 1 parent die during the span of half a yr

4) half a yr after she miscarried, she confronted the guy about her true feelings on some subjects that she'd stayed hush about before. She admitted that she felt slighted when he didn't visit her during the time she was bedridden & in pain during the miscarriage, but that she didn't express her anger at the time b/c she'd wanted to remain "laidback" and "cool."

I was answering to someone...then I stopped...I told myself "possible another fictitious story".

Would you dare to post lies? I mean many of the people that answer, take time and thought for that. Wouldn't it be a lack of respect for others?

Thoughts?

p.s. Of course there are stories that are obviously absurd. I am referring to the ones that "could" be true.
