Well I'm an athiest and while I do agree that Jesus is not capable of performing magic events described in the fiction filled bible, I have to point out that your proof isn't very credible.

How do you know every Christian is praying for world peace? I saw the other day where a Christian was praying for someone to bring justice to the murder of their child. Today I passed a christian who was praying for forgiveness. In order for us to truly know, there has to be a way for all Christians to get together and pray for world peace.

Hell I'm a non-believer and at the point where our world is today, I'd even throw in a prayer just in hopes that it worked.

My whole point is though, if your going to make us athiests look anything more than just myth-busting-griefers with our feelers out, then you should come up with a more in-depth article why God doesn't exist.

Well, that would prove that the Christian god didn't exist if you could actually get all the Christians in the world to pray for world peace. However, odds are that they are not.

Nevertheless, it IS possible to prove that Christianity is a false religion via investigating the claims made by the bible in respect to prayer.

Several studies of prayer effectiveness have shown that Christian prayer has no power whatsoever.

A 2001 double-blind study of the Mayo Clinic found no significant difference in the recovery rates between people who were (unbeknownst to them) assigned to a group that prayed for them and those who were not.

Similarly, the MANTRA study conducted by Duke University found no differences in outcome of cardiac procedures as a result of prayer.

So, since the bible claims that Christian prayer works, and it doesn't, it is pretty obvious that Christianity is a false religion.

Of course, there are many other things that show that Christianity is a false religion besides just this.

There are only four options.

1) There is no god.

2) There is a god which loves us, but who is powerless to affect us.

3) There is a god which loves us, but who chooses to ignore us.

4) There is a god which loves us, but who picks and chooses to only affect some of us by means we can't understand.

If the answer is one or two, then all theists and religions are false and wrong. If it's three then god is abusive, and if it's four then god is a petty sadist.

Take your pick.

The Bible, Psalms says God does not move from his throne over warring nations.

Also in the New Testament Jesus says he did come to bring peace, but a sword....

Move mountains? Pretty sure God created mountains, lakes, oceans, solar system, the entire universe and you and your mother and father, etc,

You didn't disprove God, you disproved Jesus.

That much is easy, considering all the mistakes he makes in the New Testament.

You didn't touch Yahweh though, let alone any of the millions of other gods man has invented in his time on this rock we call Earth.

Still, it's a good first step. Keep trying.

Circular logic does not help here. If God can't do these things (i.e., does not exist to do them), then what the mythical Jesus (1) supposedly said is meaningless. See the problem?

Someone doesn't know their Bible:
There is a prayer of Jesus that is still unanswered. I'll tell you cause I know you won't look it up, John 17:6-19. God does things in his own time. And does not do them on demand.

And how do you know he couldn't bring it about. We can't have world peace until you calm down, for one thing :)

It's a metaphor about a spiritual reality, he says this when he says what is bound on earth is bound in Heaven, what is loose don earth is loosed in Heaven. Sometimes letting your own ego go and doing God's will instead IS moving a mountain. But no amount of prayer or wishing will make humans anything other than humans. And humans disagree, we fight, we get sick, we die.

Wrong Context.

Try again.

The Bible Clearly states what the Future is going to be,,We see that right now,..Just read Matt.24.

Now if God answered the prayer exactly as we ask then the Bible and God's plan for mankind would not take effect as he planned it now would he.?
Hmmmm?

World peace is coming...it is in the Millennial Reign...when Christ sets up His throne in Jerusalem and rules all the nations with a rod of iron (the Word of God)..then there will be peace...God is a God of timing...Ecclesiastes says there is a time for everything under the sun...
