I'm a RN with bachelor degree and thinking of becoming a officer at the Navy, I lived very close to Annapolis.
My husband was in Navy when he was young, he told me I will have to go to the boot camp, and going to get abused, is this true or is it just one of his scare tacktics??

I want to install an IKEA halogen light fixture in my kitchen.It has black,white and striped green wires. My ceiling mounting has 2 paired black, 2 paired white,1 red and copper wires.I forgot to note how the old fixture was wired:(.

I tried black-on-black & white-on-white but the halogen fixture does not light up.Red-on-black & white-on-white,the light is always ON.

I tried red-on-black, white-on-white and black-on-striped green. The halogen light switches on and off however when i switch on another kitchen light the circuit break trips, which does not happen before.

The fixtures' switch that I am replacing have a red and black wire attached to it.

Help!

ok so its a long way till summer but me and my friends were talking about going somewhere together cause its our lasy yr of school and before we all head off to uni to spend sometime together and stuff anyway i can only go one place since we only got a month off this summer with all the exams and well eather i go with my frnds or i go visit my bf who lives on the second half of the world i want to see him and hes been tellin me how he wants to see me too ...my friend got mad and didnt understand why i was choosing to go see him instead of the trip i wanna go with my friends but i really wanna see him too...do u think im wrong to follow what my heart needs ??? considering i dont see him that much and i need it but i dunno how to explain it to my friends they just get mad saying im being stupid... my bf would come but cuz of the studies he cant so i can but yeah

This question is mainly for those who already believe in an afterlife and for those who perhaps believe that animals or other organisms have an afterlife besides Humans. If the consciousness is immortal just as Near Death Exp research suggests, (I am aware that it may just be the process of the dying brain, however for arguments sake lets discuss the alternative), and a cloned animal/human is conscious through man made manipulation, which assumingly means the cloned animal does not have an afterlife...do you think that the fact that a conscious cloned animal discredits a naturalistic conscious animal from the possiblity of an afterlife? What logic would you use to conclude that a natural animal still has an afterlife even if a cloned animal can replicate naturalistic living. I would presume that if there is an afterlife it can't just be an immortal consciousness we and/or animals possess if cloning is possible. So there would have to be some sort of difference, both will possess energy and consciousness. I am aware that the question can be spun and turned back on its asker in many areas especially involving what is truly "consciousness" or utilizing God within religions, etc etc. So please just try to answer the question the best you can by staying with the core of the question. I apologize if the question appears scattered and not fully clear.

I just got a new computer that has the wireless LAN already in it.. I bought a wireless router for it.. As I was trying to connect it last night I was having difficulty. I used the help CD that came with the Linksys router, but it never established a connection and acted like something was hooked up right.

I ended up using the internet connection wizard that popped up when I first turned the computer on. It connected right up. My question/concern is it says that it's not a secure connection. Is there anyway to secure my connection? Did I do something wrong??

After 4 years, my boyfriend lives two lives between myself and his 2 teen daughters. When they are with him, I am not allowed to even show my face. If I call, he cuts me short. Granted, their mother is a freak and 2 years ago he spent $30,000 in legal fees to regain partial custody when she convinced the girls to stop visiting him. Because of all that, he fears that their mother's hate for me will convince the girls to shun him again if I'm ever around. Although he insists that he loves me, I think that this is baloney and an excuse to not have to further commit to me. When I ask him to talk to his children about me, he says that they say that they are happy without me around and that he will not force them to change their minds. This angers me, as I know that not too far in the future, these kids are going to have boyfriends of their own, yet because of them I am not able to have a normal relationship with MY boyfriend. Except for this, we are great together. I need some help
