You may not be able to carry large suitcases with you but you may have carry on luggage that ways a certain amount (I think 50 kilos), As for the 12 hour flight, I suggest you bring some earphones to listen to the inflight movie! Or any handheld devices you wana mess around with. Or!.. a book to read. And remember you will also fall asleep so your 12 hours will flyby in no time.
-have a safe flight!

Some suggestions.
Take a couple of books and a well loaded mp3 player.
About me in particular, I love to flight next to a window. For I cannot get weary of looking through it. It's so wonderful. Yes, many people think I'm somewhat crazy when I tell them that I spent most of my time looking down through the window during a 10 hours trip I did some years ago. I twice experienced flying on a seat located in the central row and the trip was deadly boring and frustrating, indeed.

Well im 14 and I usually go on long flights like that too.
I just moved to the Philippines.
Don't be worried about entertainment, there is enough to do on the airplane.
You have movies, you have music, you can walk around.
At times you even have your own tv screen infront of you.
If you have an ipod, or laptop that would be cool too.
And you can always sleep or take pictures or write.
Whatever works.
They've got magazines on the airplane too.
Just relax and enjoy yourself. The airlines completely understands how boring things can be for people,
so they have pretty much a couple things to do on the airplane.
Safe flight!

1) Entertainment: books, word puzzles, MP3 player.
2) On-board entertainment: most overseas flights have movies, puzzles, games, and music selections, so bring some headphones to plug in, or get the headphones from the flight attendant
3) Sleep. Bring a small pillow or get one on the plane.
4) Walk/exercise/stretch: get out of your seat and stretch your legs a few times.
5) Write a diary about your experiences and what you hope to see. Write letters.

There are a lot of things to explore on the plane.
You should bring some books and make sure that you don't stay in your seats all the time.
Take the time out to explore the plane and ask politely to see the pilots and tell them its your first time travelling alone.
I am sure the air steward/stewardess will do their best to make your trip a happy and non-boring ones.

There are usually only 4 choices for anyone adult or child. You may spend part of the time looking at an onboard movie.
You may read.
You may sleep. (Its a good idea to wear yourself out before you board. this works for me.)
You may read a book.
These occupations will be broken by trips to the rest rooms and food services. They will see that your bags follow you.
Have a good flight.

some companies like Continental have video games. YOu can read, listen to music, and sleep. Then you also eat, besides that there s not much to do, since smoking is not allowed. You can get drunk though, you just gotta figure out how to do this.
