One of my kids came home from school with this problem from her maths teacher, and I can't think of a way to explain it :

A train is going west to east at 100mph
A fly is flying east to west at 5mph
The fly hits the trains windscreen
The movement of the fly therefore changes from east-west to west-east (in effect it changes direction 180°)
So there must be a moment when the fly's velocity is zero
That moment comes when the fly hits the train
So if the fly's velocity is zero when it's touching the train, then so must be the train's velocity
So the fly has stopped the train

This reminds me of that one where if you shoot an arrow at a tortoise it will never hit it because by the time the arrow has got to where the tortoise was, the tortoise has moved on a bit. I can't explain that one either!

Please help me get back some Dad-cred by explaining what's going on!

I've noticed a lot of the questions in the alternative medicine section seem to be about illegal drugs, especially "where can I get drugs?"
(To which I normally answer go to a rave or a hippy festival in the woods and meet people).

To an extent, I can see questions about Pot or LSD being legitamate in this forum (ie. does medical marijuana help with ___, can LSD psycotherapy cure ____), but those seem to be in the minority. Instead, I believe the flood of other questions about drugs is somewhat messing up this part of YA. First off, do you agree or disagree that this is a problem that needs to be adressed? (It has been really bothering me).

Secondly, I think that a forum should be made explicitly for drug questions. My logic is that people who want to know about the matter will keep on flooding YA, so it would be best to give them one place the mods can focus on. Do you agree or disagree with this solution, and is there anything better?

Please, one of you Gurus help.
I have Windows XP 2003. I'm using VBA 2005.
I have several macros that function properly.

I have recorded a new macro.
I first activate a Workbook.
Then select a worksheet, (sheet 1), by sheet name.
There are 13 sheets, all named.
I grouped all the sheets for a common procedure, copy and paste.
The recorded macro grouped the sheets in this manner.

Sheets(Array(" 13 sheet names listed" )).Select

I then activated the first sheet, by name.
The procedure was performed.
Then I ungrouped the sheets

The macro Run once.

Then I a got an error, "Subscript out of range", on the Array, above.
Second problem, the recorded macro does not "Ungroup" sheets. I used the shortcut, Right click to ungroup.
Is there Code to Ungroup sheets?

A 1,000 page book is no help. GRRRR!

I have noticed that the drain in my back garden in over flowing whenever the washing machine or when the bath has been emptied, also when I flush the toilet water bubbles out of the drainer in the shower.

Does this sound like a big problem to fix?? how much would I expect to pay at the most to unblock the problem???

Well for me i threw eggs at my maths teachers car and he caught he and i was in uniform. My friends also did it too and we all got suspended for a week. Good times :)

I see so many useful answers and patient people actually helping others with homework, projects, personal questions. But how do those helped show thanks?

ok well i'm making a defender on City of Heroes and she's going to have Empathy(healing) and offencive energy. she'll be wearing black and her back story lil is that her fathers a villain and her dead mom was a hero & she basicly becomes a hero to prove shes not like her dad ect.
