The top 50% of wage earners pay 96% of income taxes.

So where does the line of reasoning come from that says the rich aren't taxed enough and the burden falls on the poor and middle class ect...?

I'm not trying to be a smart ***, I just want to hear the arguments from the other side and see if they hold water or not.

Ok, I want my mum to divorce my dad because he doesn't treat her well, even though he is the one supporting the whole family. My mum does EVERYTHING for dad, yet he doesn't know that? *well he tried to be "cool" about it and just gives off a smirk everytime I mention it to him. (I mean, would you just sit and watch your wife mow the lawn?!!?) (not only this but there's more to it..just would take AGES to tell everything)

So yehh, I told my mum I wouldn't care if they divorce because I am SO sick of his stupid immature attitude! However, I also feel a bit sorry for him if he has to move out because he wouldn't be able to do anything without my mum's help!! (he doesn't understand/speak english well either)

so yup...i am in a tangle at the moment and don't know if my opinion is right?
i dunno...i'm just confused!!!

when being pounded on by all the other canidates during the debates she should do what jfk would do during his press conferences when asked a difficult question- pause reflect on the question, smile then give a answer. also, simple ? give a complex answer, a complex ? give a simple answer. Use humor when possible to make a point against your rivals.

the extra time on my hands to file, then normally i would. Only this time, I was out of the country when it came time to file, and it would have been like a yo-yo effect with the mailing system. That was what made me question if I needed to actually file or save myself the headache that it was creating.
I chose to just let it go, to not hassel with it, and take care of other things. My dad brought up the question a few days ago, and I could not explain where i thought i found the information regarding the deduction amount or about not having to file the taxes.
I have been worried ever since over this, so I seeked an answer from here, hoping that someone would know how to answer the question.
The amount of money was just under $1,000 and it was working some part time hours for McDonalds inside of a Wal-Mart. Not much of anything, just killing 2 months till I was to travel out of the country on a visit.
Thanks for all the help you all are giving me, I am very appreciative.

I grew up with parents that are pretty naive and never believed their son had any problems. I was always a good student and got good grades but now that I am in the workforce I am noticing some of my short comings.

I have always been told by people that I am really spacey and that I have ADD. In seventh grade, a psychologist tested me and told my mother that I need to go on Ritalin, which basically my mom scoffed at.

I feel that i have a lot of potential but that I can't realize it. People at work have commented on me, that i don't focus and don't think, and i think it's a result of not being attention. There are some things I do really well at work, but I feel I could be one of the best at my job.

How can I get a prescription for Adderall/Ritalin?

Mine is Talib Kweli's "The Beautiful Struggle", I'm always reminded of it when me or my family is going through things. Does this mean that we all have our individual opinions of what faces and bodies we are drawn/attracted to? That while one guy may think Angelina Jolie is beautiful, another guy may prefer Gweneth Paltrow or Jennifer Aniston? Don't you think it may have something to do with feeling or sensing a romantic chemistry with someone when you look at their photo? That you can sense someone's personality behind the face? For example, when paging through on-line dating photos, aren't we drawn to some faces but not others because we can sense the person's personality behind the face through the photo? So with this concept, not all men would find a slim woman with a good fashion sense, nice hair, good skin tone, pleasant face and sexy body beautiful? Isn't there some standard of beauty? Some guy I know was trying to tell me that not all men would find Jessica Alba attractive and not all women would find Tom Cruise attractive. Or does someone become more beautiful if you feel chemistry with them?

I've never been allergic to anything, but within the past few months something has been bothering me like crazy.

I just can't figure out what it is...Sometimes I'm just sitting in class and I get welts on my wrists or legs...other times my lips swell up for no apparent reason. The breakouts happen and the strangest times and they are driving me crazy. I don't have a doctor right now and really don't feel like waiting in the clinic's waiting room for an eternity...can someone help me figure out what it could possibly be?

The clinic is the last resort.
