I am new to the home improvement game. My loft has joists that are 100mm high, with 100mm blanket insulation between them. I would like to add chipboard flooring so that the loft can be used for storage.

However, I have read that lofts are supposed to have 270mm thick insulation (i.e. theoretically I should add 170mm blanket insulation at right angles to the joists and the current insulation). If I do this though, I won't be able to nail boards down as there will be nothing to secure them too.

If I keep the insulation as is and add the boards, will I cause problems for myself when I come to sell (i.e. will it become law to have a certain depth of insulation)? Can someone who understands this stuff please help? Thanks.

FOX news became number one (all of which happened in recent years), we've never heard of Conservative media bias before, but have always heard about Liberal media bias?

Just curious. Thanks.

Remember Wonder Woman and Xena?

Personally, I say they'd tire each other out! Sure, Xena's sneaky (i.e., sneak attack), AND she fights dirty (she sure as heck don't give a crap about who dies or who loses a knee cap) ... remember "Kill 'em all?" ... so under NORmal circumstances I'd say Xena hands-down. But Wonder Woman has that really COOL magic lasso! AND she comes with her own arsenal. If Xena starts to get the better of her, all she's gotta do is rope her with that magic lasso and force her to tell her the truth ... that she really wants to be a good girl! And if that doesn't work, she can call out the cavalry ... all the Wonder Women, straight from Paradise Island! Including the Queen of Paradise Island Herself, Wonder Woman's mother!

Just imagine a pissed-off Wonder Woman coming to protect her kid! Xena couldn't hold up against that! (I don't even think Ares could)!

Besides ... does anybody remember that scary look that Wonder Woman started to take on during the

my husband, who was very close to our puppy, recently died in a car accident. myself i'm a mess but so is my puppy. he's losing weight, the vet said there is no miracle cure and said it will take time. i just don't know what to do, i have no joy left in me and just can't cheer up our puppy. he doesn't want to eat or play, has become very protective of me and cries when i leave him so i've been taking him with me everywhere i go.
the vet was of no help and made me feel stupid for taking him to the vet for this. i just don't know what to do. i say puppy but he's almost 4 yrs old and weighs about 150lb, he's a great pyr.

If you pay attention to Canadian politics (even if you are not Canadian) can you tell me what you think of Mr. Harper?

Maybe he doesn't deserve the credit (I haven't paid that much attention), but under his government, tougher laws have been passed, the Canadian dollar is beating the American dollar by over 7 cents, our economy is going quite well, unemployment is down, crime is down, and prices is magor department stores are dropping to. The GST tax dropped 1%, and it (among other taxes) is set to drop again in the new tax relief package thats coming.

Also, facts aside, Mr Harper does not seem "wishy-washy" like other politicians. At least not as much. He seems to stand firm on certain issues, like crime, regardless of public opinion.

So, do you think Stephan Harper (and his Conservative government) are doing a good job?
