You are probably going to think I am crazy but...

I have a hard time sleeping in my bed, I usualy prefer sleeping on the sofa...but eventually get up and go to bed...but I have a hard time sleeping in my bed because I feel like it is oriented the wrong way.

For the last seven years we have moved around alot but in every place we have lived, the bed and bedroom was in the east part of the house (if you entered from the door) and when sleeping my feet were towards the west and my head was towards the east....now, in this house, total opposite...the bed is to the west and my feet are towards the east part of the house...

I am not kidding...I have been here for about 2 or 3 months and when I lay in bed, I feel odd...like something is off...

I can't change my bed around, although I have considered sleeping with my head towards to foot of the bed but then my head is facing the door and I don't know if that would be any better...so I am just wondering...am I crazy?

You've been working at a place for the last two years and became very good friends with two people in your department. The work environment sucks and you all want to leave. You are so close that you even socialize outside of the workplace, and call each other on the phone. Then one leaves to go to greener pastures and two months afterwards, the other leaves...then you realize that she has started working at the same place as the other.

Without telling me anything they helped each other, and they're still being secretive about it. I feel betrayed. It's not that they helped each other, but that they kept it a secret from me. This tells me that we were not as close as I thought we were.

How would you deal with something like this? Would you confront them and tell them how you feel or would you quietly go about your life and forget about them?

An 80-year old man was having his annual checkup and the doctor asked him how he was feeling.

"I've never been better!" he boasted. "I've got an eighteen year old bride who's pregnant and having my child! What do you think about that?"

The doctor considered this for a moment, then said, "Let me tell you a story. I knew a guy who was an avid hunter. He never missed a season. But one day, he went out in a bit of a hurry, and he accidentally grabbed his umbrella instead of his gun. "The doctor continued, "So he was in the woods, and suddenly a grizzly bear appeared in front of him! He raised up his umbrella, pointed it at the bear and squeezed the handle. And do you know what happened?" the doctor queried.

Dumbfounded, the old man replied, "No."

The doctor continued, "The bear dropped dead in front of him!"

"That's impossible!" exclaimed the old man. "Someone else must have shot that bear."

"That's kind of what I'm getting at," replied the doctor.

I really dont care either way. I've never knocked anyone up (To my knowledge anyhow) but there seems to be such a double standard about the whole thing. From what I understand you are legally dead once brainwaves and heartbeat stop so wouldnt that mean you are "Alive" when they start?

Looking at all the facts, the species Homo Sapien (human) seems to have the longest record by far for tending/raising their own offspring.

Most animals in the wild only 'put up' with their children until they are sexually mature.

Humans can sexually mature anywhere from 9-15 years of age.

How is it then, it that case, that:

1) We keep raising our children so much longer than biologically necessary?

2) Most women become fertile again either immediately or soon after giving birth, which suggests that our biological law requires us to produce one offspring at least once a year. How on Earth would a single human (or even a partnership of humans) raise and tender to all of their children if they had at least one every single year?
