I'm doing a presentation Monday and I don't think I have enough stuff to talk for enough time.. I need some unique attributes of a Euglena! (ex. 'Can use photosynthesis as well as ingest food'). Please help, I'm having trouble finding them. List as many as you can!!

I do not want very detailed things, like it's length/speed. Just blunt facts like "Euglena has a contractile vacuole which prevents the cell from bursting." (Thanks Chez for your answer but I need less precise facts). So if anyone knows, I need to know:

1) Unique Parts
2) Unique functions/attributes.

Thanks in advance.

Words: Julia W. Howe, 1861, alt. This hymn was born during the American civil war, when Howe visited a Union Army camp on the Potomac River near Washington, D. C. She heard the soldiers singing the song “John Brown’s Body,” and was taken with the strong marching beat. She wrote the words the next day:

I awoke in the grey of the morning, and as I lay waiting for dawn, the long lines of the desired poem began to entwine themselves in my mind, and I said to myself, “I must get up and write these verses, lest I fall asleep and forget them!” So I sprang out of bed and in the dimness found an old stump of a pen, which I remembered using the day before. I scrawled the verses almost without looking at the paper.

The hymn appeared in the Atlantic Monthly in 1862. It was sung at the funerals of British statesman Winston Churchill, American senator Robert Kennedy, and American presidents Ronald Reagan and Richard Nixon.

Music: John Brown’s Body, possibly by John William Steffe (MIDI, score). John Brown was an American abolitionist who led a short lived insurrection to free the slaves.

Mine eyes have seen the glory of the coming of the Lord;
He is trampling out the vintage where the grapes of wrath are stored;
He hath loosed the fateful lightning of His terrible swift sword;
His truth is marching on.
Glory! Glory! Hallelujah! Glory! Glory! Hallelujah!
Glory! Glory! Hallelujah! His truth is marching on.

I have seen Him in the watch fires of a hundred circling camps
They have builded Him an altar in the evening dews and damps;
I can read His righteous sentence by the dim and flaring lamps;
His day is marching on.
Glory! Glory! Hallelujah! Glory! Glory! Hallelujah!
Glory! Glory! Hallelujah! His day is marching on.

I have read a fiery Gospel writ in burnished rows of steel;
“As ye deal with My contemners, so with you My grace shall deal”;
Let the Hero, born of woman, crush the serpent with His heel,
Since God is marching on.
Glory! Glory! Hallelujah! Glory! Glory! Hallelujah!
Glory! Glory! Hallelujah! Since God is marching on.

He has sounded forth the trumpet that shall never call retreat;
He is sifting out the hearts of men before His judgment seat;
Oh, be swift, my soul, to answer Him! be jubilant, my feet;
Our God is marching on.
Glory! Glory! Hallelujah! Glory! Glory! Hallelujah!
Glory! Glory! Hallelujah! Our God is marching on.

In the beauty of the lilies Christ was born across the sea,
With a glory in His bosom that transfigures you and me:
As He died to make men holy, let us live to make men free;
[originally …let us die to make men free]
While God is marching on.
Glory! Glory! Hallelujah! Glory! Glory! Hallelujah!
Glory! Glory! Hallelujah! While God is marching on.

He is coming like the glory of the morning on the wave,
He is wisdom to the mighty, He is honor to the brave;
So the world shall be His footstool, and the soul of wrong His slave,
Our God is marching on.
Glory! Glory! Hallelujah! Glory! Glory! Hallelujah!
Glory! Glory! Hallelujah! Our God is marching on.

I realize that not all Christians do this, but.....

Why do you keep asking this same type of questions, when you are always answered by atheists who have a better set of morals than you do? Atheists have morals because we have sole responsibilty for our actions. Yet you require a redeemer and are therefore unresponsible. We see there are consequence and benefits to all of our actions. Your system of morals consist of reward in heaven or punishment in hell.

Understand this:

When I do good, I see the benefits.

When I do bad, I and others suffer the consequences

Out of the 117 Division 1-A teams, only 4 head coaches are black: not in any order:
1) UCLA- Carl Dorrell
2) Notre Dame: Tyrone Willingham
3) San Jose State: Fitzgerald Hill
4) New Mexico State: Tony Samuel
This year, UCLA was blown out by the Utah Utes: 44-6, currently 4th place in the Mountain West Conference, they lost to Notre Dame (so far, Notre Dames' only win this year, currently at 1-7 in the Independents Conference (FBS), and lost today to Washington State, who was at the bottom of the Pac-10 (tied with Washington for 9th place) with an 0-4 conference record and 2-5 overall.
Sure, they upset Cal with a shocking win, but then again, UCLA plays to the level of their opponent. It was a given that they would lose today, because their opponent was lousy and they got owned 27-7.
So, my theory is that Carl Dorrell is not being fired because he is not only black, but he is the only black coach on a high-profile team, such as UCLA. If it isn't race, then what is it?
