2240 lbs in a ton of anything except Gold
unless you're talking a 'short ton' 2000 lb
a 'tonne' 1000 kilograms or 2200 lbs (approx)
but only Gold weighs differently
Gold is 12 ozs to the lb other substances are 16 oz to the lb

I say they weigh the same. If I were a lawyer, I'd ask you which one you want to weigh more then tell you we've got an excellent chance of proving in court that it does.

I think they weigh the same. What is worth more: 2 pounds of quarters or 1 pound of half dollars? (USA)
