That's interesting. I have never heard anyone say that before. Either you are enlightened or crazy? I wish you the best anyway with your journey.

An old story, attributed to the Buddha, tells of 6 blind men who journey to "see" an elephant. Each places his hand on one part of the animal & decides that *must* be the creature's entire nature-- 1 guy touches a leg & concludes that an elephant is like a tree, another grabs the trunk & is convinced that it's like a snake, & so on. None of them investigates what the others are in touch with & each is convinced that he's right & everyone else is wrong.
I suppose if there had been another man who didn't touch any part of the elephant, he would be like an atheist. Although some of your answerers say that atheism is not a religion, I think that *sometimes* it can be-- I know atheists who are adamant that they know the Truth & everyone else is wrong, crazy, deceived etc. Also, they try to win converts over to their belief. I recently spent nearly an hour on the phone listening to a family member's impassioned praise of atheism (how can someone spend so much time & energy on something that "doesn't exist"?) He has no idea of my religious ideas, btw, he was just selling his own views.
As for your question, I believe there is some substance to each path, but none of us has a total conception of the Truth. Religion itself--any religion--may be either good or bad, as it is sometimes used to control or exploit others & is even an excuse for war & other acts of hatred or violence.

You can't believe in ALL religions. There is ONE religion, the leader and founder of which, claimed that he was the ONLY one.

So, you can either believe in Jesus exclusively, or you can believe in every religion BUT Jesus.

But to include Jesus, you have to believe what he said when he said "I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life. NO man comes to the Father but by me. Anybody trying to get in by any other means will be treated as a thief and a robber and be cast out into outer darkness where there is weeping and gnashing of teeth."

So, either Jesus, alone, is right, or Jesus is terrifyingly wrong! (I mean, come on - he went around claiming to have equality with God, of all things!!!) Either he was a liar, or a lunatic, or lucifer the devil himself, or he truly was (and is) the Lord God of all creation.

But, which EVER category you choose for him, he stands alone. If he is NOT the Lord, then he can not be included with the others. If he IS the Lord, then the others can not be included with HIM. He was VERY exclusive in his approach to God, and you can not patronize him by calling him merely a good man or prophet or messenger from God. In the words of C.S. Lewis, either he truly was the very Son of God, or he was on the same level as someone who thinks he's a poached egg!

Now, it's up to you to decide for yourself what you think about Jesus, but before you do, I HIGHLY recommend you first read about the life and times of Jesus Christ as recorded by four of his close followers, Matthew, Mark, Luke and John. You'll find them in the New Testament of the Bible.

I do. I'm primarily a Mormon/LDS, but I also believe in many truths I've discovered in the Buddhist, Christian, Hindu, Jewish, Islamic and neo-pagan religions. I could never call myself an atheist, but I can see the benefits in that, too, as well as great contributions in terms of science, questioning/challenging, etc.

A whole lot a religions contradict one another!
Protestants don't believe that Mary was born without sin. Catholics do!
I am sorry but you know the old Saying, better be thought a fool then open your mouth and proclaim it to the world!
God bless you!
I hope that did not hurt your feelings and that you relies the truth someday

If there is only one true religion then you negate the true one for many false ones. Atheist is not a religion it is a belief that there is no religion.

Silly,

WE ARE COMMANDED TO JUDGE FELLOW CHRISTIANS.

We are commanded to judge those that claim to be a brother or sister and yet openly sin. If you have another God before Him then you are sinning and I am perfectly in my duty that God commanded us to cast them out from among you. So that they may learn that their ways are perverse and repent and then come back to be a true brother or sister. It is out of love that I tell you - you are wrong.

NO!! There is only ONE true God, the Creator of all things that are seen and unseen. Only those who accept Jesus, as the only BEGOTTEN son of God, and personal savior. He died for YOUR sins; without this faith you will NOT enter into eternal life with the Father!
If you SAY that you believe in all "Religions", it merely means you believe in NONE, and don't want to take the effort to seek the ONE true Church!
I wish I knew a little more about you. I would be honored to help you in your search for true Spiritual growth!

You have answered your own question.

You cannot embrace two contradicting world views. You cannot be both atheist and Christian. You don't believe that there is a God, but you believe that Jesus was God?

You need to reconsider what multiculturalism is. It sounds like you just heard this in a freshman course.

Sorry, but you standing for everything, are standing for nothing. I don't believe in all religions. And then you included atheist in your group. Whats up with that? Are you insecure hoping that you might get it right? That logic is fine if you are going duck hunting. You don't use a .22 caliber for duck hunting, you use a shotgun. When you see your target you hope that your shot is going to scatter enough to make a kill.
Be brave, stand for something. You'll get greater respect.

Impossible. Believing in everything except atheism is fine, but atheism is not a religion and "believing" in atheism directly contradicts your belief in N other deities. My girlfriend is a universalist, so I know where you're coming from, but you absolutely cannot include atheism in your list of beliefs because it goes against everything else.
