Not really. What would you measure? The answer is simple.
Unimpeded angular momentum.


You could probably make something up like measuring how long it takes the earth to rotate about it's axis or the sun using very crude measuring techniques and compare it with known precise answers.


Or you can build an electromagnet using a battery, a large nail, some copper wire. Change the voltage and use see the difference in weight you can pick up with it. You should be able to do this very quickly if time is your concern.

It's not something a 7th grader can experiment with. It's something an educated 7th grader can answer in one word. If you ask what MADE the earth rotate, that's something few 7th graders are equipped to research.
