Ranger or S10

ranger by far the s-10 looks like a grandpa truck

I have not owned either of these trucks, but I do have friends who have. From their experiences, I would say that the Ford Ranger is the better truck. Although they each had problems, the Ford outlasted 3 of my buddies S 10's. My friend replaced the engine once, but besides that the truck itslef went over 300K miles before it was totaled in an accident. None of my other friends S10's made it past 150K.
Some S10's have more power though.

I'm personally partial to Gm products but I have to side with Ford on this one. The rangers just seem to be built a little more solid than the S-10s, and rangers are the only one of the two still in production today. Maybe thats a sign, I don't know. The S-10s and Sonomas are good little trucks, don't get me wrong, but I just like the Rangers better...

Depends on how they're equipped. I have a Ranger with the 3.0 V6 and it is the most under powered vehicle I've ever driven. Ford, over the years, has done this a number of times. I remember some Lincoln towncars with V8's that were so under powered they had trouble getting up the hills with more than two people in them. And I test drove a Ford chassis motorhome with a fuel injected V10 that didn't have as much power as my Carbureted Chevy V8
which was 8years older. That's why you need to test drive before you make up your mind.

I've had both , 4 banger ford sucks trane probables all the time , v 6 ford Great pick up . S-10 i like better because there a good solid pick-up and more inside cab room .and year matters to . before u buy talk to a good repair man . they see whats coming in for the most repairs .

i would say the ranger. but then again what would a girl know about trucks or any car for that matter. well hehe... i love my tundra so....
