This was on UK tv quite a few years ago. It starred Susan Hampshire. She was on holiday with her husband, walking on the beach. He slips on a rock, hits his head and dies. It is a remote area so he is taken to an outbuilding adjoining their holiday cottage and laid out. Next day he's gone and then turns up in the cottage (looking a bit pale!) She thinks he must have just been knocked out but he is actually dead and gradually deteriorates over the next few days!
Most movies area repeated on TV but I have never seen this one since!!

I remember seeing the exact figures in one of my history textbooks a long time ago. It gave certain points in history, ex. 1840, 1860, 1880, 1920, etc. and it would say how many miles of railroad each region (north or south) had.

Could someone tell me what the numbers were, or where i could find this information?

I'm semi pleased with my weight. 5"3, 123 lbs. but I would like to get down to 115. I find that it's been harder and harder to achieve my goal weight since I've been on these medications. Since I've been walking and being more active, I've actually gained weight.

A guy goes to his doctor and says,
"Doc, I have a problem."

"My girlfriend is sleeping over this Friday, my ex-wife is sleeping over this Saturday and my wife is coming home Sunday."

"I need 3 Viagra pills to satisfy them all."

The doctor says, "You know 3 Viagra pills 3 nights in a row is pretty dangerous for any man. I will give them to you on the condition that you return to my office on Monday so that I can check you out."

The man says, "You have a deal Doc."

Monday morning the man returns with his arm in a sling.

The doctor asks, "What happened"?

The man answered, "Nobody showed up!"

My husband is an only child and his parents were older when they had him. He tends to act like 20 or 30 years older than his age. It seems to me as if he wants to relive the life that he had as a kid, because some of the things that his parents used to do he wants to use it in our marriage.

For instance they would get up early on a Saturday morning, get dressed, get in the car and drive -- without a destination. Wherever they ended up, they ended up. He said if they decided to get a hotel room and spend the night they would, otherwise they would turn around and come back home.

He has done this on several occasions with me and it didn't make sense to me. He asked me to get dressed and then we just got on the highway and drove for miles and miles. He stopped in the towns and there were nothing but cows, dirt and grass. What's exciting about that? Gas is too high to just get in the car and drive aimlessly.

Do you and your spouse do this? Do you think it's normal?

Some friends brought back a packet of Zatarains Dirty Rice from the US. It tastes amazing but is almost impossible to buy in the UK - unless you deal with specialist importers who charge a fortune - £3.50 / $7 per packet is just silly.

If anyone has a recipe which get's close to the original flavour, I would really like to see it please, I have tried a couple on the net and they are "ok" but nothing like the real product.

Here's hoping :)

Many thanks.
Mark

It was opening night at the Orpheum and the Amazing Eileen was topping the bill. People came from miles around to see the famed hypnotist do her stuff.

As the Amazing Eileen took to the stage, she announced, "Unlike most stage hypnotists who invite two or three people up onto the stage to be put into a trance, I intend to hypnotize each and every member of the audience."

The excitement was almost electric as the Amazing Eileen withdrew a beautiful antique pocket watch from her coat.

"I want you each to keep your eye on this antique watch. It's a very special watch. Its been in my family for six generations."

She began to swing the watch gently back and forth while quietly chanting, "Watch the watch, watch the watch, watch the watch.... "

The crowd became mesmerized as the watch swayed back and forth, light gleaming off its polished surface.

Hundreds of pairs of eyes followed the swaying watch, until suddenly it slipped from the hypnotist's fingers and fell to the floor, breaking into a hundred pieces.

"****" said the hypnotist.

It took three weeks to clean up the theatre.

For me, I lose hope when I see my fellow people hopelessly entwined and entangled in the deceit and delusion of religion. I lose hope when I see these same people willfully infect their vulnerable children with the same sickness from which they suffer. And I lose hope when I see the violence, hatred and bigotry perpetrated in the name of something which is falsely labeled ‘peaceful’. Why do they still insist that I could have my hope restored if I became one of them?

I was just wondering whether anyone had a Guild Wars account they don't want anymore?

I already have Prophecies & Nightfall, but I really want to try out Factions. ^_^

If not, then that's okay, but if you know anyone who hasn't played their GW in forever and was considering giving their account to someone, send me an e-mail. =)
