Want to buy a bike but haven't owned one since my BMX back in the day...

So now i'm faced with mountain bikes (front, rear or duel suspension or fixed frame), urban, street, racing (road?), hybrid and probably a few others.

I want to ride the few k's from home to gym (instead of car), and occasionally to the office. So road mostly but maybe the odd trail at weekends. Also worry a bit about racing bikes not coping with pavements and other obstacles in case i need to get 'creative' on route.

Any ideas??

1. one of my contracts says ill start as a E-1 for 4 years is that true? is that normal or no?

2. how does one become a E-2, E-3+?

3. (officers) is it really hard to become a officer how difficult was the test and stuff?

4. can you tell me some stuff about Security Forces even though you might not be one? ( i got that job, and not to excited about the final pick )

My husband and I are trying to have a baby. We live on our own, and do not ask anyone for any kind of assistance. We have been together almost 7 years, married for 4 months now. My problem is, I have recently found out he does now want his mother to know we are trying. He lies to everyone who knows her when they ask when we are going to have a baby. I am so hurt by this. She and I have never gotten along, because she considered me trailer trash and to young. ( we are 3 years apart) I am afraid I may be over reacting to his not wanting to tell her, but I can't help it. He says he doesn't want to hear her complain about how we aren't ready when he doesn't care what she thinks. Am I over reacting, or does this seem like some kind of red flag? Ya. The Rockman X8 has 2 Disc to put in. I can install the Rockmanx8 from the disk 1 when the message said that put your disk 2 and find the movie/ax_ed.wnw just like that but when i find it i cant open the movie file from the movie folder from the disk 2. ahh im confuse about this so can anybody teach me.
