South of the border dip: You make your own guacamole, In a blender add 2 peeled and chunked avacados, 1/4 cup of chopped onions, 1 tablespoon of miracle whip, salt and pepper, 1 tsp of hot sauce. Blend until creamy. You may have to add more miracle whip, a tsp at a time until the consistancy is right.

Layer the ingredients as given:
1 can refried beans with sausage
guacamole
sour cream
sliced black olives, drained
picante dip ( thick)
top with shredded cheddar cheese.

Serve with Heavy dipping chips like fritos scoops, you will want a huge bite. I promise.

can't go past home made. my favourite is guacamole. all you do is:

2-3 ripe avocados
balsamic vineger
1 lemon (juice only)
1 spanish/ red oninn, finely chopped
1 tomato, finley diced
salt and pepper

Method.

take the tomato; cut the eye out (bottom) and on the top make a crisscross slit. get a small pot of water on the stove and bring to boil.add the tomato and blanch for 20-30 seconds and run under cold water. peel off skin and finely dice. peel avocados and mash in a bowl (either with masher or fork ); add finely chopped onion, tomato, dash balsamic, lemon juice salt and pepper. combine well. try it, if you think it needs a bit more seasoning then add it. I always try it when i making it to get the best falvour

BLT Dip

1/2 Sour Cream
1/2 Light Mayo
Real Bacon Bits, I think the ones I used are
Hormel?

Mix together. Chill.

Just prior to serving, say 1 hour before, add diced tomatoes and shredded lettuce (I buy the already shredded bagged stuff)

Mix and serve with chips.

i LOVE this buffalo chicken dip:

Ingredients:

1 block of cream cheese
1 small jar Maries Blue Cheese Dressing
2 roasted hot buffalo chicken breast chopped into small pieces (I usually get the frozen kind (like Tyson) in the frozen food section)
1/4 cup of Frank's hot sauce
8oz package of shredded cheddar cheese (orange and white)
2 bag of Fritos scoop chips

Directions:

Microwave cream cheese in serving dish for 30 seconds.
Spread evenly in the serving dish.
In a medium bowl mix entire jar of Maries dressing, chopped chicken breast, 1/4 cup of hot sauce.
Pour mixture over the cream cheese.
Put the shredded cheddar cheese on top of mixture.
Cover with aluminum foil.
Cook for 20 minutes at 350 degrees.
Serve with Fritos scoop chips.

Texas Skinny Dip.
It concerns a high alcohol content and murky waters in some man made lake outside of Amarillo Texas.
Thanks for the (((hugs)) :)

Snowcrab, I think you can still get the same artichoke spinach dip at Applebee's. Both restaurants are owned by the same company.

hot spinach and artichoke that I used to be able to order at Johnny Carino's and I am sad that they don't have it on the menu anymore...boo hoo! It was so good, served with thin slices of bread. I could make a meal of it!
