I love baking for the holidays...I make cookies/brownies/cupcakes for everyone. But, it seems that these days so many people are watching their weight and I want to be supportive of that...so, I'm wondering if anyone has any ideas of healthy and delicious treats I can make this year instead? I'd really appreciate any ideas/recipes! Thanks!

Im a mom of 4 3 in school and 1 home with me. I have the little girl 3 days a week and like no more than 25 hours. Her brother 6 comes after school. Im already watching a girl 9 after school 2 hours a week 25 a week. Hopefully the mom will see what a good job im doing and give me more money! I just want to make enough to buy my husband something so hes not always paying!! Please help!

I had a stray cat show up on my door last winter. I did everything imaginable to find his owner. Nothing turned up so I've been feeding him, got him neutered, & got him all his shots. I have been trying to find a home for him through local agencies as well as friends, family, etc. Let's face it, no one wants a full grown cat. The biggest problem is I have 3 other male cats of my own. It has turned into a constant spraying war in my house. I also have to run the stray off everytime my cats go outside or there's a fight. I've tried bringing the stray into the house when the others are outside & he just sprays where they have. Everyone is neutered. I'm afraid as winter approaches, & it gets very cold where I live, he'll freeze outside. Though I've set up a little make shift shelter. People are telling me he'll be fine outside. I don't know if he can handle the minus temperatures but I also can't handle a spraying war & my home smelling of cat pee. Any suggestions?

This is the recipe I have, but I don't have any Maple Extract, and No I can't go out and buy any.

Soft Pumpkin Cookies
• 1 (16 ounces) can pumpkin, 2 cups
• 4 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
• 1 1/2 cups sugar
• 1 cup light brown sugar, packed
• 1 cup (8 ounces) butter, softened
• 4 teaspoons baking powder
• 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
• 1 teaspoon maple extract
• 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
• 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
• 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
• 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
• 4 eggs
• 1 cup pecan halves
Into a large mixing bowl, measure all ingredients except pecans. With hand held mixer at low speed, beat ingredients until blended, scraping bowl occasionally. Increase mixer speed to medium and beat for 1 minute longer.
Preheat oven to 350°. Using 2 tablespoons of batter for each cookie, spoon batter into mounds on un-greased baking sheets, keeping mounds about 2 inches apart. Press a pecan half into the center of each cookie dough mound. Bake cookies for 1

I just want to thank all who have answered me, I think I have a clear picture of what I need to do and I am not so threatend about them taking my car, I would never sell this car, it is a gem, only 58 thousand miles on it, I am 61 years old and plan to drive it till it dies, I most definately am going to fight them to the death, because noone ever contacted me and the total of the medical bills is about 1300 , one is an er charge for 675, which I paid the 50 co-pay, it is a sad thing in this country when even if you do have medical ins you never know what you really have or if they will pay, I was in a car accident so the er trip was not bogus. I hate ins companies and I hate that a medical instituation is trying to take what little I have, I called the atty and I wrote the atty to no avail, so when the dust settles, I will have my friend who is an atty deal with them , thank all of you so much!!!!!!

I need to know where i stand legally. Up until last Friday the staff at where i work (in a care home) were allowed to leave work premises on our unpaid breaks to have a cigarette. Our employer has now put a stop to this and i would like to know if that is allowed? on our contract, it states that we have to stay on work premises for the duration of our shift, but does not state staying there on our break. Our breaks are unpaid and feel that we are being treated wrongly because we smoke. Do i have any rights here? What does the law say? can my manager do this to us? i need as much info as possible please. I want to fight this. Ive been told that if we was to go outside on our break now, it is a sackable offence!

My sister is going out of town later this week and my whole family wants to go to the airport to drop her off. The exact date of the flight is not known yet (due to some complications; long story) and my friend is also having a party this weekend. I have already told my friend, I don't know if I can make it due to this whole situation but I haven't gotten a response yet (I sent her messages on her voice mail, and e-mails about it.) I'm wondering if she'll be mad at me for not showing up. What should I do? Family comes first, and my sister is going for a pretty long time, a year or two at least, so I want to go to the airport to drop her off with the rest of my family. I know that friends I can see again through out the next few years.

I was one of them, and I was a happy go lucky person with a great personality, UNTIL I witnessed customers who told me to throw away their child's soiled diaper, a woman who wanted to return her pants back that she was wearing, a woman who was the devil who started yelling at me saying she didn't like my crucifix pendant and though I was good, and customers who threw clothing all over the racks after I cleaned it up. As a result, when I shop I never acknoledge people, when in a mall I look straight at clothes at not people. It has burned and scarred me for life, I would say. As a result, I would never want my children working for retail because of the animals out there. Few good ones, but the stress from the animal customers who want MORE!! Your thoughts.

So my brothers wedding is Friday and I am the maid of honor! He has pink as well but he went to the dr and got meds but I don't have the time nor the money to go to the dr seeing how the wedding is in 4 days but dinner rehearsal is in 3.I have putting hot and cold rags on my eyes and using 2 over the counter meds one is Similasan (pink eye relief) and the other is Artificial Tears..Been doing those as often as I can.I got it last night!.If anybody has suggestions I would be ever so grateful! I am 31 weeks and had a 4d ultrasound today and we didnt get a good picture of the babys face bc he said her head was so far down that it was touching my cervix. He wasnt a dr. just an ultrasound technician, and they wont send this to my dr. bc it was on my own to just look at the baby so my question is does that mean Im getting close to having the baby already like is there a chance of me going into labor early bc she is so far down?
