I am 31 weeks and had a 4d ultrasound today and we didnt get a good picture of the babys face bc he said her head was so far down that it was touching my cervix. He wasnt a dr. just an ultrasound technician, and they wont send this to my dr. bc it was on my own to just look at the baby so my question is does that mean Im getting close to having the baby already like is there a chance of me going into labor early bc she is so far down? Thanks to all that answers I appreciate it!!!

Did you feel her drop?? A baby will start shifting downwards toward the last few weeks of pregnancy.

just relax and know that the baby is in the correct position to have a natural delivery. When you start to notice blood discharge or your water breaking, then get your butt to the hospital because you will be in labor. =)

Good Luck on a full term baby!!!

Yeah, I went for a 4D also... and didn't get a good picture either :-( ... but it was because all her limbs were covering her face. But I did get confirmation on her sex :-). Anyways it's good that the baby dropped... mine dropped around 7 months. It doesn't mean that you will give birth early... it just means when the time comes you will most likely have a healthy delivery. :-)

Dont worry , it just means that baby is in the right position ready for coming out! his/her head will probably come down further and 'engage' this is when the countdown begins!

good luck hope all goes wellx

It just means she's in position and that's good. She could stay there for a while. The same thing happened to my friend and she just had her baby 8 days late!!

I wouldn't worry. It doesn't mean that you will go into labor anytime soon. Be glad your baby is in the right position.

My daughter's head was very low the whole time, and I went full term.
