you rose up..get off the bed..and look around the house..you check the bathroom first, she's not there but her/his contacts still there..then you went to the kitchen..she's not there too but her/his bottle water still there..you went back to the room..her/his shoes still there..you sit on bed, reach for the phone, look for her number to call her..and suddenly you realize...that she/he just passed away 3 days ago..she/he passed away in your arms... there's her/his photo by the bed side stand..you miss her..

what's on your mind that time?

"Thirty-four percent of Americans say they belong to the "have-nots." Twenty years ago, only 17 percent of Americans defined themselves this way. What happened? "

"In 1995, 66 percent of poor households had air conditioning. Just 10 years later, in 2005, 80 percent of the poor had air conditioning at home. In 1995, 70 percent of poor households owned a car, and 27 percent owned two or more cars. By 2005, almost 75 percent owned cars, and 31 percent owned two or more. About 25 percent of the poor owned an automatic dishwasher in 1995. In 2005, more than 33 percent have a dishwasher. Microwave ownership jumped from 64 percent in 1995 to 89 percent by 2005."

"The lowest-income one-fifth of households spend, per person, as much today as the median American household in the early 1970s, after adjusting for inflation."

Okay, limited space here, but here is a story:

Several years ago a friend of mine was in a minor car accident. He walked away unhurt. He called his mom and told her what happened, then used a rental car the rest of the day.
When he got home, about 10 hours later, his grandmother called and asked him how badly his leg and arm were broken.

Stunned, he asked her what she meant. She said she had heard that he'd broken his right leg and arm and had a head injury and that she heard this from another family member.

Intrigued, he traced back the calls through the family. He found that the story had been passed on through 11 family members before getting back to him. Each family member embellished the story just a little bit more.

There are deeper details, but limited space here to explain, but you get the gist.

So, since the bible was not even written until 200 years after the supposed death of Jesus, how much embellishment do you think was infused over 1500 years?

Haha, ok it's a serious generalization and it's not in my character to generalize a whole group of fans, because let's face it, every team has their ignorant fans and bandwagon fans, and fans that are not knowledgeable, but so many people say that Yankee fans are not knowledgeable about the game.

I have seen so many answers saying that Torre should not be fired, etc...

Hey Yankee fans that think this, Torre will NOT be fired. He will not be retained by the Yankees if anything. But he finished out his contract and Steinbrenner is saying he will not re-sign him. That's not getting fired. And Yankee fans wonder why people think this way about them.

In all honesty, I've met and talked with a lot of devoted and knowledgeable Yankee fans, just not so much on Yahoo Answers.

Seriously, can it really harm you, in some way, if you are not a pagan, for instance, that they now have their pentagrams on their graves?
Can it harm you, to see a Muslim pray five times a day, or wear the hajib?
What is the harm in seeing a Jewish man wearing his side locks?
How can it hurt you, seeing a Christian cross at the side of the road?
What if you happened to be in a public restaurant, and overheard someone praying? Would some terrible fate befall?
Somebody please explain to me, why all the nonsense about eliminating any mention of God (anyone's God, that is) from any public forum?
Whether it is the Ten Commandments in a courtroom, or Vulcan, standing there in the middle of Birmingham, or a cross on a hill in California, or a Menorah displayed in a hotel lobby...have we become such spoiled children that we must smash one another's religious symbols?
(Btw, as far as I know, only one Christian has complained about Vulcan. Southern Alabama? Hmmmm...)

First, let me say this is a serious question and I would like serious answers only please, I apologize a head of time, if I give to much detail, I am just trying to explain my q, the best I can. I dont know which day I would consider the first day of my period, on Sept 5th, I got light brown/pink spotting, however I only noticed this when I would wipe. This last 2 days, then on the 7th, I got a regular flow, that turns red, where I tampon was needed. My period is like this every month, I always get the light brown/pink spotting, when I a wipe for 2 days before getting a flow. I have heard you people say your first day is the very first day you notice blood, so would my first day be when it was the brown/pink stuff or would it be the day the flow actually started? I want to try to figure this out, b/c my hubby & I have been trying for over a yr & 1/2 to get pregnant and finally have become pregnant, but I dont know which date to give the doctor for when my last period was!
