over the summer my skin cleared up and i started to wear makeup. i am 14. now in school all these guys talk to me. why? last year they never said a word to me. now they talk to me everyday. i asked my friend why and she said "it's cause ur hot!" she asked her guy friend if he thought any of her friends were pretty and he said my name. what's going on here?

I go to my doctor and trust her completely even though medical research follows the scientific method.
I trust that when I go on a plane it won't crash even though aeronautical science follows the scientific method.
I trust that almost every single technology I use will work correctly because all the research that allows for it to work follows the scientific method.

Except when it comes to evolution, the big bang and the age of the earth for some unexplainable reason I suddenly stop trusting science right then and there.

It's like when I see flaws in the evidence for evolution like that one fake hominid fossil I completely reject the whole theory. But when medical science does the same thing like when a pharmaceutical company recalls a certain medication for health reasons, I still will trust my doctors and the medicine they administer afterwards and I don't start denying medical science.

I like doing math problems, I find physics interesting though I am better at numbers, I like to write code, I don't like to work with hardware. I am not a computer expert. I would like to teach someday.

To be honest, I don't know what the "right" major for me is, but based on all the information I have given you, What major combines all those things? Thanks for helping me decide!

I have always pondered this. Paris Hilton for example. She is a beautiful girl without her makeup on yet she puts globs of it anyways. In fact, I think most women look better without ANY makeup. You can see the true beauty without that crap on.

As I see it, this is one of the most important elements in life. Studying Philosophy can prevent wandering through life without a sense of purpose, and it poses some of the most important questions in humanity. Shouldn't is be emphasized more in school? (In my high school the only option is an elective senior year, and I go to one of the best public schools in the country.)

My science teacher made us do an experiment where we added liver to hydrogen peroxide. Now I have to figure out a way to capture the Oxygen put off by the chemical reaction. I don't actually have capture the gas just say how I would... There are no limits in materials but I have to capture PURE oxygen (no air) and cannot use a balloon! I'm really worried about putting on weight so i use laxatives every night, iv been using them for about 2 months now and i usually take 4-8 tablets about 5 times a week is it really bad for me or can it help me lose weight? i do think I'm actually putting on weight please help me sensible answers as well not just 'there's you answer then blah blah' real help thx.

I was just wondering where we came from my Daddy says that one therie is that Aliens messed with DNA from neanderthals and created us, another one is that we came from another planet and the reason was that something bad was going to happen so they sent their people to a planet just like theirs to survive only to find out that nothing happened to there planet they were stuck on Earth and had to go through evolution again that's is what I think, or God created us Blah blah blah what do you think please do give all your thought i would like know.

in one of my classes (10th grade) there are 6 mexican students and the rest american. the mexicans are all girls and only talk to eachother most of the time in spanish. they're very loud and dont listen to the directions the teacher gives them. they pretty much like to ignore her. the teacher does force them to do work though. the teacher is way too sweet and innocent. anyway, there's this other girl in my class who's american but is fluent in spanish. she told us the other day what the mexican girls have been talking about. she said that they were saying really rude things about some of the people in my class. like, i hate those girls, they are total bitches, her hair looks like ****, ect. then here's the part that scares me. they siad they wanted to stab this one one girl in the class. im afraid they're going to like bring a gun and shoot us or something. the teaches know about al this..i think but she cant kick them out. we had a talk about respect today. help me! im so scared!!:(

Heres my story... its a grown up- non kid question
Dated twin A, she is beautiful and kind, twin B beautiful but the "evil twin". Years pass, madly in love with twin A. Twin B goes to college and comes back nice. All along Twin A and B have been very close, good sisters to each other.
Twin A and B are not too different in personality, they do different things but are both beautiful and good. Now i move in with Twin A, Twin B moves into town nearby to be close to twin A. Me, exposed to twin B and her new likeable attitude. Begin to confuse emotions between Twin A and B. Attempt to ignore. Twin B has many times demonstrated interest in me. I get a job rather far off and buy a house an hour away. It hurts me to seperate the twins because I know they are good for each other, but I also realize twin B is doing me no good.
--question -- should I do anything? Should I tell my now wife, ive got issues seperating emotions? They wont fight with each other, they arethat close
