Please stop now. Laxatives are only last resorts. If you take them for too long you can cause permanent damage to your rectal muscles, etc. It will seem like you are losing weight, but it's mostly water, so you are depleting all of your electrolytes. You are probably so focused on losing you eat more than you think since you think you are pooping it all out. Please stop the laxatives. Eat lean protein, complex carbs and a little fat at each meal. Drink 6-8 glasses of water (that helps curb the hunger too). If you feel like something sweet, drink some flavored herbal tea with splenda for a "sweet" treat. You could also brush your teeth when you get the urge to nibble, it helps you feel like you actually ate. Good luck

If you are using chemical laxatives, over the counter style, yes they are bad for you. If you need a laxative, at least use an herbal blend. It will be much safer. and you will get regular action gently. No, that alone will not cause you to lose weight. Have you lost any weight in the last 2 months that you have been taking them? It doesn't sound like it.So stop the laxatives and just take or eat some fiber, raw apples, celery, grains, etc. Good luck

Stop taking the pills. You will totally mess up your system where you won't be able to go on your own, then you'll have serious medical problems. Just eat sensibly. Always eat something for breakfast like yogurt & fruit or a slice of toast with a slice on 2% cheese on top. For lunch any grilled lean meat like chicken on a wheat bun or in a salad. Nothing fried. No thick dressing like ranch. Try italian or vinaigrette. For snacks eat as much friut as you'd like or 1/2 a peanut butter sandwich. If you eat lots of fruits & veggies trust me you'll be going to the bathroom alot. Drink nothing but plenty of water, it's a natural laxative. Start walking everywhere possibly safe. Take up a sport, anything to move your body. Tell your parents that you think that as a family you all should be eating healthier. That way maybe they'll start shopping for more healthier foods. They probably need help also with their diets. Just remember, baby steps and treat yourself only once every other month. And remember that you didn't put it all on in a year so don't expect to take it all off in a year

Yes it is really bad for you. Your body likely is getting very few vitamins and minerals. Losing weight is really not as hard as it seems once you get started..it just takes consistency. Try to eat a 1200 calorie diet every day and get at least 3 days of exercise per week.
You can do it, and you can do it in a healthy way.

What's gonna happen is you eventually won't be able to "go" on your own and will always have to take laxatives. Your bowels will lose their ability to work without laxatives. This is not the way to go about losing weight! Eating the right foods and exercise is the way to go.

Eat fresh fruits and vegetables, and exercise when you can. I love to drink beer and eat pizza on the weekends, but I have to force myself to eat right and exercise during the week.
There is no easy way out; it just takes dedication.

that is not healthy. laxatives are not to help you lose wieght they are simply to help cleanse your deigestive tract. you probalbly are putting on weight because you body is learning that what ever you give it it will be takin awa therefore shortly after it is given so it is starting to store what ever you give it and turn it to fat.
