In Australia the government is touting how amazingly good workplace agreements are, and how amazingly bad it would be to scrap them now they are law. If they are so good, why aren't all our federal and state parlimentary ministers on workplace agreements? Lead by example!

There is no way to say this w.o. anyone freaking. My young friend (16) and husband's best friend (24) are dating. About 10/11 months now. They met each other thru us (no intention of them ever dating PERIOD!). She is my best friend's sister. I never approved of it but hoping it wouldn't last. She always believed to be a virgin till marriage. Well he has changed her. She is very outspoken now and more confident. Well I found out 3 weeks ago they started to have sex back in July. I COMPLETELY FREAKED! I see her as my little sister. And since her real sister never steps in to guide her. I told her I feel that she is going through this all the wrong way and it makes me feel like I am loosing a little respect for her for hiding this and completely doing opposite as she has always said (hypocrite?). Well of course she resents me the typical teenager reaction. BUT I LOVE HIM & NOT EVERYONE REGRETS THEIR VIRGINITY!!! All I have to say IS PLEASE! Now she is completely avoiding me. Was I wrong?

I moved in December, rain season here in NC, and remember the pump going on and off, now its constantly running, Is it normal for the pump to be running that much? any websites to read up on how a water well works?

Does a man who is unwilling to serve his country through military service really have the moral right to make the decisions to send real soldiers into war? Or even have the moral right to ask young men to serve their country through the military when he was unwilling to do so himself?

I'm talking about those healthy enough physically (if not morally) to have served in the military.

This is not a legal question, but a moral one being asked by an old fart who served.

Now, let the excuses and disclaimers begin !!!!!!!!!!

(You think it's time to bring back the draft? And this time with no special privilege deferments?)

Our australian guidelines for preventing SIDS seems to differ quite a bit from other countries. What were you told about SIDS when you had your babies or what do you think you can do to prevent SIDS?

I was told a lot about the sleeping safety like,
No cot bumpers, quilts, pillows or toys in the cot
No netting around cot
Always place baby on their back (use a sleep positioner if you want to)
Place them with their feet at the end of the cot with the excess blanket tucked under the mattress (never in the middle unless they are older and wriggle around)
No loose bedding, tuck everything securely or put baby in a grow bag for warmth
Avoid cigarette smoke
Dummies can help to prevent sids

I always seem to see docmentarys and pictures of people in america and other countries with their cots full of fancy frills, bumpers and toys when we are told never to use any of those things until at least age 1 when SIDS deaths seem to lower dramatically.

What do you think?

For some reason for the past month or so, meat has been a complete turn off. And after hearing about an ecoli outbreak in hamburg patties out here I knew for sure I wouldnt be touching it again. The thought of meat turns my stomach anyway.

Ok, with that said, I need some information. I have Diverticulosis, which means I cannot have rice, nuts and seeds, and unfortunatly when eating veggies I get the tedious job of deseeding everything (tomatoes is such a pain!) but, we do what we do to try and be healthy.

I need to know if you think it would be impossible to be vegan even though I cannot have rice and nuts, you guys eat alot of those two things, dont you?

Also, isnt drinking milk and eating cheese wrong since it comes from a cow?

Any other info you want to add would be wonderful!!

I have often been told that here are biblical passages which say that God allows for the state to execute people. Essentially, God condones the death penalty by the state. I find this to be a rather weak argument in arguing FOR the use of the death penalty today.

There is so much more in the bible about loving everyone, even your enemies - even those who HATE you and would try to do you the worst possible harm.

And Jesus came to save people. All can be redeemed through Him. So killing someone would take away this as a possible fate of a person's soul.

Jesus also tells us to forgive.

Therefore, while the Bible may in some passages that state authorized execution is okay, the best arrangement for our society is to never kill any person, accept in the immediate need for self defense. This policy would be supported by all of the other Biblical teachings about preserving life, loving sinners (but not their sins), and forgiveness.

Your thoughts?

until one day after a quarrel, he stopped calling me.when i asked him why, he said he had moved on and he doesnt feel like talking to me.

i am very heartbroken, i tried to move on. but i cant. i just cannot forget him.what should i do now? should i tell him that i will wait for him or just act like it doesnt affect me?
