For some reason for the past month or so, meat has been a complete turn off. And after hearing about an ecoli outbreak in hamburg patties out here I knew for sure I wouldnt be touching it again. The thought of meat turns my stomach anyway.
Ok, with that said, I need some information. I have Diverticulosis, which means I cannot have rice, nuts and seeds, and unfortunatly when eating veggies I get the tedious job of deseeding everything (tomatoes is such a pain!) but, we do what we do to try and be healthy.
I need to know if you think it would be impossible to be vegan even though I cannot have rice and nuts, you guys eat alot of those two things, dont you?
Also, isnt drinking milk and eating cheese wrong since it comes from a cow?
Any other info you want to add would be wonderful!!

No, I mean just what I said.. Diverticuliosis. Diverticulitis is when the intestine becomes inflamed and an infection is present.

It may be "boring" traceilicious, but atleast I wont be filling my body with garbage and poison. ;)
I eat to live, not live to eat. Taste isnt all that important to me anymore.

Where do these numerous and outrageous diseases come from? Darn! I won't eat red meat ever since I learned what they do to dogs in China.
You might try eating fish since it's not really considered to be meat. Can you eat potatoes? Yams are an excellent source of nutrition, and so is corn (protein). Broccoli is an excellent source of nutrition and an excellent cancer fighter.
There are many great Fruits and Vegetables for you to experiment with.
If you can't do the Milk thing - drink Soy Milk. Soy milk does not come from any animal - it comes from the Soy bean that grows in the ground. The plain Soy Milk tastes very - plain, but could be flavored to your liking. The Vanilla Soy Milk and Chocolate Soy Milk are just awesomely scrumptious. Um Um!
Have you looked into Herbs for an herbal remedy for your dilemma?

I assume you mean diverticulitis? Or is Diverticulosis the same thing? You can go to webmd.com click on Health A-Z, go to D then choose the one you want. There is a lot of information in there including info about what you can eat, just disregard suggested meats and foods your Dr has told you to avoid. I noticed the focus was on eating foods that are high in fiber so this includes cereals and breads, just make sure to read the labels for any ingredients not veggie friendly like eggs. Some vegetarians continue to use dairy products, cheese usually has rennet in it which is the lining of a baby cow's stomach. Kraft domestic Swiss cheese doesn't contain rennet and there are cheeses made with soy on the market.

Vegetarians don't eat meat, but still eat other animal products.
Vegans on the other hand use no animal products whatsoever. This includes milk, cheese, eggs, honey, silk, leather, jell-o...
You can certainly choose to not eat meat and still eat dairy products.
Nuts really are a good source of protein. Can you be vegan without nuts? Sure! Soy and other beans are also good for protein. You can get protein from cheese if you choose to still eat it. I think you could get by fine without rice as well. If you want to do a vegetable stir-fry or something, use noodles instead.
Vegetarian diets are very healthy. Since you left it open to any other info...steam up some cauliflower and cool it in the fridge over night. Mash it up and make it into cauliflower salad--add mayo, celery, carrots, shredded cheese, anything you would put in tuna salad. It makes a really good sandwich. You can do the same with cooked, mashed chick peas but I like the cauliflower one better. Vegetarian chili is another one of my favorites. Good luck!

Are legumes okay? If so, you will be fine. Find a list of proteins and see if there are good ones on the list for you. Legumes are half what you need, rice or corn makes up a simple supplement to legumes for the other half.
Cheese and milk are a no-no for any serious vegan, or even most vegetarians, as most cheeses (not all) are made using an enzyme scraped off the lining of a cow's stomach. Might as well eat a steak as a cheese enchilada.

Can you eat nut butters? I know someone who has a similar condition, and while she can't eat nuts and seeds, she can eat nut butter. She can also have rice, however, and she doesn't need to deseed vegetables.
Can you eat other grains, such as quinoa, barley, and bulgur? Can you eat pasta?
As for dairy, you will have to make your own decision on that. One reason I no longer consume dairy is because of the veal connection, but that's me. You can use soy milk, rice milk, or nut milk (assuming it's the actual hard seeds and not the protein that causes you problems).
It will probably be difficult for you, but if I'm sure it can be done.

When you become vegetarian its all about complete proteins. There is a lot of research and reading that need to be done to find the right mix of complete proteins. Losing your "belly" doesn't necessarily mean your wasting away because your starved, you just have to make sure your getting all your proper nutrients. Many new vegetarians keep the diets they used to have and don't explore new vegetables that could be delicious and have just never tried them. Where as I've have friends that go "vegetarian" and only eat mashed potatoes. Becoming a vegetarian doesn't necessarily make your diet bland either. There are so many great foods out there that are vegetarian and cooking for yourself it is so easy to find recipes. i recommend trying to find a book that explains all the proteins and vitamins that most vegetarians and vegans normally lack and trying to find recipes that meet those needs. Your choice is Veggie or Vegan. A vegan does not do Dairy or Eggs some even restrict honey & the use of leather, wool & silk in their clothing. I as a Raw Vegan (75% of food eaten is in a fresh raw state) have kept pretty moderate as I am on the path for health. I have not restricted my use of animal’s by-products. As I have been following this & educating myself I have found allot to be appalled by in the Big Industry of Meat, Diary & Eggs. My own beliefs & thoughts that humans need to follow a Plant Based Diet has become Spiritual as well as health.

Tofu is pretty easy to digest. You can fry it,broil,bake,barbecue,boil in nearly any sort of recipe from entree to desert
The grain Quinoa is high in protein
Millet is tasty and fast cooking
Oat meal cooked in hazel nut milk and honey is so delicious
There are so many different ways to eat without tomatoes,rice or nuts and seeds.

Your diet choices may be more limited on a vegetarian/vegan diet because of your diverticulitis. Good luck, sounds like you are in for a long, painful and boring diet because of your self-imposed limitations.
BTW, I DO agree with not eating red meat with your condition because it is SO hard to digest. But fish, seafood and poultry are much easier.

I'm a vegetarian and I love my dairy products.
I can't live without cheese or milk.
Nuts and Tofu are a good source of protein.
Try "Naked Juice," its really good stuff and really good for you.
