When i was little, Halloween was a huge deal, we dressed up for school, had a parade and then went trick or treating. It was a blast and my favorite time of year! Now around here, kids aren't allowed to wear costumes to school, there are barley any trick or treaters because their parents only let them go to organized events. Parents have become so paranoid of what could happen that they have taken all the fun away. Some schools aren't even allowed to call it Halloween, its "fall festival." I am so afraid that by the time i have kids that there wont be any Halloween at all. What is wrong with this country that parents have let their own paranoid fears ruin all the fun for their kids?

Heres the situation: I recently turned 18 and got a small playboy bunny tattoo (actually just the outline, it isnt filled in) on my hip/ bikini line/ whatever right above my jeans. it looks so cute because i also have my belly botton pierced...but the catch is that my parents are extreme christian psychopaths. i dont know how to tell them and i know that they will freak out if i tell them. dont get me wrong, i am a christian too but i believe you can express yourself any way you like. i know that they will find out eventually when im in a bikini or whatever but i dont know how to calmly tell them. (after i got it, i just briefly asked them about getting a tattoo and they both laughed and said they would put me in rahab and see a psychologist if i got one...then i got a lecture and they obviously said no) - i also have another problem, see, this week i want to get a portrait tattoo on my upper back of my cousin who passed away along with a bible verse...should i tell them or just do it?

I no longer have to worry or stress? Where I will be able to enjoy it rather than wonder when I can just pick up and move away?

What would that take? When may I start living the life I dream of , doing what I want and earning a decent living from it?

20. In college ( after failing out), stressed and just wanting to run away. No lie, when I graduate if I dont have enough money I may apply for some credit cards and run away! Just so I can have time to think and figure out what I WANT to do with my life. I only have one life, I dont mind being poor for awhile so long as I have peace of mind and some personal freedom.

I was thinking of opening up some CD's ( certificates of deposite) and bonds just so when Im outta this college I will have some money coming into me and then take off ( for awhile).

All this thinking after...alot. Being told I cant stay weekends, living in a neigborhood that makes college look like heaven, Forced to go to religious serives I no longer believe in

I was listening to the radio last night and heard "The House of the Rising Sun" by the Animals and thought, "wow, what a great song... I haven't heard that in years!" then they played some old song "one night in bankok" and I ended up belting it out at the top of my lungs...
