My Dad had pretty strange looking cars. One had a pointed nose like something out of a Buck Rogers space movie. Wish I could remember what type it was.

well, i've been engaged for over a year now, and just a few weeks before the wedding (last week) I found out that my now ex-fiance has been cheating on me for several months. When I confronted him, he became angry, called the wedding off, and has left me to be with her.

I left the state to go home with my mom. I am 5 months pregnant and have been having a difficult pregnancy. The cheating began when I was constantly being hospitalized. And while I Was in the hospital a few weeks ago, he used that opportunity to use our honeymoon money to take this other woman to Mexico.

He has called and claims he wants to be involved in the pregnancy, childbirth classes, and birth of the baby. I don't know whether to believe him or not because he seems to have lied about everything. Should I keep him involved?I 'm about to start childbirth classes and don't know if he should be allowed to come. Moreover, I now live out of state and don't know if him commuting for the classes makes much sense.

The unpredictability implied by quantum mechanics has done away with the Newtonian world view, in which all future events are predetermined. In our evolutionary worldview, there always is a choice: a variety of possibilities, some of which are retained by selection. The defining characteristic of a cybernetic agent is some degree of control over that selection. Because of their capacity for thought, people, moreover, are not only free to choose between given possibilities, but able to conceive novel possibilities and explore their consequences. Is this free will and are we really allowed to practice it?

I'm just asking how fair u think this trade is, not if it will happen, or that it is a rumor. Or for my fantasy league

Chicago Cubs get: Alex Rodriguez, Melky Cabrera
New York Yankees get: Carlos Zambrano, Carlos Marmol, Mike Fontenot

Fair trade?

Or who get's better deal?

A couple are celebrating their 25th wedding anniversary & go to the same hotel where they spent their honeymooon.
After a lovely dinner & plenty of champagne they go to their room & start to undress.
The wife says "When you first saw me naked 25 years ago, what were you thinking?"
He looks her up & down & says "I was thinking I'd like to suck your t*ts dry & sh*g your brains out"
As she drops her underwear to the floor, the wife asks "And what are you thinking now?"
He replies "I'm thinking I did a pretty good job!"

I love sports, to play and watch, but there is only so much I can take. He will watch re-runs and sports center in the morning before work and the minute he gets home is highlights, Pardon the Interuption, and Around the Horn until a game comes on and then throughout the whole game he's flipping between "classic" football games, golf and baseball until bed time, and even then he's falling asleep to sports. I love sports, but COME ON! I've told him several times but he shrugs it off. What more can I go besides complain or just sit there and watch it (which I feel like I've done PLENTY of this summer) Any ideas?????

You have a closed shoe box with two strings protruding from either side. By pulling on the right string you can pull out 60cm of string. By pulling on the left string you can pull out 6cm of string. *When you pull on either string the opposite string disappears into the box, before you actually pulled out the said length. How is this possible? What is inside the box that causes this? Please Help!!!

I've gotten straight As since 6th grade. I've been labeled "gifted." I've been in all the so-called "advanced" classes. I'm not some sort of drug-addicted bum who's tired of making an effort. School is honestly ruining my life! I'm force-fed information that I'll forget in a week, and that doesn't matter in the first place. How many adults have needed to know the tiny details of Assyrians' military innovations in order to do their job? How many adults remember HALF of what they "learned"?
I spend six hours a day being bombarded with useless information. Then, when I get home, I can't research the things I'm really interested in because I have no energy. It consumes my life and it's pointless and condescending. The switch to online school didn't help, either.
Now I'm trying to figure out what to do. Drop out and get my GED? Unschool? Just stop making an effort and get Fs and not give a **** because grades are stupid anyway? I'm tired of playing along. What should I do now, then?

My mothers' father was the first to have a car and a television in their area. I had many relatives who lived in the country with out houses. Everyone did have electricity. Quite few in the mountains had only radios. I have known one family with 5 sons who lived up a mountain with no electricity or plumbing. And this was only 30 years ago. My grandmother had her bathroom on the back porch as it was added before I was born. I helped use a wringer washing machine but it was electric. I remember the first electric sewing machine before that we should a treadle machine and our first color tv. My uncle was a traveling pastor and parishioners invited us to Sunday dinner. Ny friend told me they bought toilet paper as a special tribute cause the preacher was coming. Otherwise they used catalogs. This wasn't all poverty it was just the times. I am very interested inothers memories and if/how they vary from one part of the country/world compared to the south.
