I'm just asking how fair u think this trade is, not if it will happen, or that it is a rumor. Or for my fantasy league

Chicago Cubs get: Alex Rodriguez, Melky Cabrera
New York Yankees get: Carlos Zambrano, Carlos Marmol, Mike Fontenot

it's irrelevant because Yankees aren't trading two starting fielders in the middle of a pennant race.

If the Yankees were out of the race then it would be a no-brainer for the Yanks who would get Zambrano with his contract already signed and Cubs would get A-Rod, who would opt out of his contract at the end of the season and they would be left with just Melky.

I don't think that trade that you have in mind is ever going to happen. The genral manger of the Chicago Cubs, Jim Hendry has already locked up Carlos Zambrano for a 5 year deal worth 91.5 million dollars, and that is just quite the shopping spree the Chicago Cubs have been on. So it doesn't look like to me, that Carlos Zambrano is going anywhere in the next 5 years. Come on, do you really think Jim Hendry will give up Carlos for Alex Rodrguez, and where would they even put him, they are all set for 3rd base. Now I have to wonder just for how long Carlos Zambrano will honor this contract for. And plus see how different Mr. Hendry is from all the other baseball GMs. If a player asked for that much money, they would ask "are you out of your mind?" Because it will seem to me that no other GM will sign a player for that much money.

The Cubs are getting a better deal. Alex Rodriguez alone is better than all of these guys. In second place behind A-Rod is Carlos Zambrano. Everyone else is not really that good.

It depends on whether A-Rod opts out of his deal or not. If it becomes a trade where A-Rod walks at the end of the year then the Yankees win it easily. If they keep A-Rod for the final years of the deal it turns into a more even trade. It would create a number of problems in Chicago losing their ace and creating a log jam at 3B with A-Rod and Aramis. They would have to either move A-Rod back to SS or trade Ramirez. If you look at in terms of value to each team the Yankees are the clear winners since 3B is much easier to find than an ace.

The Cubs would by far have the better end of the deal, because Arod is better than the rest of them combined and he'll hit HR like crazy over the next few years.

honest commerce is achieved while countries commerce with one yet another autonomously. loose commerce is comparable, however the shortcoming of fairness is often attributed to one/3 events like the WTO. interior the tip, the weaker countries get exploited. tricky to charm to the line between the two so actually, yet an occasion of loose commerce that's no longer honest is Nike. Nike company runs production plant life in southeast Asian and latin American countries. the corporate place of work pushes the administration for such unreasonable salary that the individuals often make approximately $one million.50 or much less an afternoon, it relatively is sufficient to proceed to exist on meals yet no longer the rest. countries can commerce autonomously whilst nonetheless benefitting the smaller countries by way of installation rules that restrict their multinational companies from violating particular rules like pay standards. there is no want for a 0.33 occasion if the greater advantageous government is responsible. regrettably, this is not the case. The WTO does not have the smaller countries ultimate pastimes in suggestions, the two. this is totally uncomfortable to think of merely how lots of people stay unfavourable lives so as that we could constantly purchase products at "stable" expenditures.

In your fantasy league it's GREAT!! But for us yankee fans no deal!! I don't want Alex going anywhere,We need Melky for centerfield, since there are rumors of us getting rid of Damon next yr! Zambrano is a good pitcher, but next yr we're set for pitching,Hughes,Chamberlain, and maybe Kennedy,We'll see how he pitches this weekend against the devil Rays!

I would say Cubs get the better deal. A-Rod is a great fantasy player to have (I want him on my team even though I hate him)

Cubs get the better deal (though the Yanks could use the pitching.) ARod is the best player of our generation. There is no fair trade for him.
