I live in the Philippines and here, we are so tolerant of the gays and lesbians. I don't have anything against them but I've always wondered about that question because we Filipinos are so proud of our religion.
My mother told me that it's not for a person to judge others, that's God's job. I'm just wondering if anyone else shares the same opinion.

I own a house in which the previous owners apparently spent a lot of time in the basement smoking. We have done a lot of remodeling and removed many of the old walls, leaving an unfinished basement, but there continues to be a strong smoke smell down there which we can occasionally smell throughout the house, especially when we've been away for a few days. What can I use that will remove the smell most effectively? I am completely willing to go as far as removing everything from the basement and hosing it down. I've read in a few places that vinegar and/or baking soda works. Does anyone have any experience with this?

Theres a woman I care for who is servely obese, she wieghs almost 600lbs. Obviously she has some health problems and isnt very mobile. Recently she had a bad fall and it took over 3 hrs just to get her off the floor. We live in a very small town and theres not really EMTs but there are ambulance volunteers. They were not equipped for a person her size and thats why it took so long to get her up. After she was hospitalized both ambulance and fire companies sent a letter to the Manor where she lives telling them that they no longer will be responsible for her in case of an emergency. So now that she is a liability to the Manor they have chosen to evict her and she now has until the end of this month to find a new place to live. Can they do that? Isnt that some kind of discrimination? I mean they helped that 1000 lb man with no complaints why does she have to suffer?

I came to Calgary in Canada and was treated like a non-human being just for not being white. People would have fun around me but would never include me into their social circles.

I moved into Toronto and found that people here don't really care about race and will treat you just as if you were born here for the most part.

That made me think that parts of North America that were not exposed to immigrants could be very rough. I am right? Please let me understand!

I have a small tank, but want a bigger one, would like 3 clown loaches and 2 coreys. I know they need room to play and can grow. What else could I put in there that will not overcrowd. A mail man was finishing his last day on the route..retirement had finally arrived.Several customers had given him gifts for his wonderful service. As he approached the door to his last stop a hot lingerie clad woman answered the door and invited him in. She took him upstairs and they did the wild thing. Afterwards she fed him lunch...as he was getting up to leave he noticed a dollar under the plate. He thanked her for everything and asked out of curiousity "what's the dollar for?" she turns to him and says "well I told my husband you were retiring and I asked what we should give you he said screw him give him a dollar!"

Two prominent polls carried out by Zogby International and the Gallup Center for Muslim Studies indicate that anti-American sentiment is at an all-time high. The survey, by Zogby International, was done in six "US friendly" countries of Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon, Morocco, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates.

In these six "friendly" countries, only 12 percent of those surveyed expressed favorable attitudes toward the United States. America's leaders have surpassed Israel's as objects of anger. Asked which foreign leader they disliked most, 38 percent named George Bush; Ariel Sharon was a distant second at 11 percent.
