Two prominent polls carried out by Zogby International and the Gallup Center for Muslim Studies indicate that anti-American sentiment is at an all-time high. The survey, by Zogby International, was done in six "US friendly" countries of Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon, Morocco, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates.

In these six "friendly" countries, only 12 percent of those surveyed expressed favorable attitudes toward the United States. America's leaders have surpassed Israel's as objects of anger. Asked which foreign leader they disliked most, 38 percent named George Bush; Ariel Sharon was a distant second at 11 percent.

Most people aren't concerned about being safe from sentiment. Most people are concerned about being safe from bombs and bullets. Before 9/11, terrorists in Afghanistan were free to organize, train, and raise money. Now they aren't. Before the Iraq war, Saddam Hussein contributed tons of money to terrorists. Now he doesn't.

I really don't care what they think of us. Ariel Sharon has been on life support now for years and is a vegetable. This is an anti-Israel thing. The good news is that I've not picked up a paper lately and seen where innocent American civilians were bombed or targets of terrorist since 2001.

we could continuously have by no potential long previous to Iraq. After 9/11 the Bush observed an oppertunity and made us have self assurance we had to bypass there to guard our u . s . . there have been by no potential any weapons of mass destruction there. Saddam has been ineffective for 5 years. Afganastan could have been the concentration from the beginning up. Iraq is a conflict on oil, not terrorism.

Let them hate us. It's not a popularity contest. It's about survival of our way of life in the West. And most important to me survival of our American way of life.
I do believe we're much safer than if we had just rolled over after 9/11 and not gone on the offensive.
Bush has made mistakes but overall he has the right idea. Keep them on the run or they'll regroup and attack again.
They must be defeated.

iI do not think the majority of Americans really think we are safer now..... In fact if you ask, I think a lot of us feel we are less safe with bin Laden still running around.. Bush didn't bother to find him...and now el Quaida well entrenched in Iraq.. which Bush has failed at too.

no.. I do not think we are safer.. but Bush continues to tell us we are....

See, it just goes to show -- 89% of people cannot dislike a man in a coma. Would someone please complain about me to a moderator? Jesus. No wonder I come back here less and less often.
