I have a small tank, but want a bigger one, would like 3 clown loaches and 2 coreys. I know they need room to play and can grow. What else could I put in there that will not overcrowd. I have a variety of tetras now, but want something different that will be compatible with the clowns/coreys, would 4 more fish be too much?

Well every fish needs a gallon for every inch it will grow. For example a platty will get around 2 inches when it is full grown. that means you have 98 more gallons to have for every other fish. I have a relatively small tank too so I would suggest Plattys, Mollys, Guppies, and angel fish. These are all community fish and are small so you can get allot of them. They are also very beautiful. I would stay away from Gormies though.

you can easily have a small school of clown loaches, 3-4 schools of different corys and have plenty more room for other fish. I would suggest medium to larger tetras, such as the congo tetra, again in a small school. You could include 2-4 schools of 6 in that general size range very easily.

100 gallons the small one?

Clown loaches need alittle larger, but they also like to school, so get more CLs for a big school.

Corys are small and they also like to school.

For a 100 gallon you can go with a school of each species.

One inch of fish per gallon of tank, except goldfish cause they are pigs who don't clean up after them selves

Oh defintely. you can put more.. I would suggest a red tail and some schooling tiger barbs. A 100 gallon has alot of space.
Just be creative with it.
