You know, one of those automotive shows where they show you the process of spiffing up the car.

When they weld stuff (i.e. the bright blue flames), can it actually damage your eyes even if it is on television only.

I know that you musn't look at a real live welding fire without protective glasses, but is it the same when you view it from a t.v.?

(I always look away when that stuff is happening on the T.V. but I'm just curious as to if it can do actual damage to the eyes).

There are only a few makers of ephedrine and it is too complex to bootleg so like quualudes meth addiction could be wiped out with the stroke of a pen. There are many ways to manage a cold that do not require ephedrine or its deriviatives...is this the true power of the drug lobby in action?

I'm going somewhere tonight and my face is just starting to peel.
I didn't know it and I started peeling the skin.
Now I'm left with spots around my nose that are different color then my skin...And I have skin peeling all over my face! I can't go out like this.
Any ideas?
I used Ponds Sensitive Face Cream and it helps for only about 10 mins.

After exhausting just about all possibilities for subject matter, here's a cool question to not only beat the heat, but to bide time until training camp opens up...soon. Hockey fans, out of all the books, cartoons, movies, poems, music videos, etc., who is your favorite fictional hockey player (or coach for that matter)?

May I throw out the "legendary" Eddie LeBec from "Cheers"? Jay Thomas played the Boston Bruins goalie who passed on sipping from Lord Stanley's cup (and helping Ray Bourque earn a ring sooner) to...join a travelling ice show. Too bad Mr. LeBec met an untimely demise.

From http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eddie_LeBec

The episode titled "Death Takes A Holiday On Ice," deals with Eddie's unfortunate demise: he was run over by a Zamboni while pushing a fellow cast member out of the way. At the funeral Carla learned that Eddie had a mistress, Gloria, who lived in Kenosha, Wisconsin.

He is so sweet and got a lovely temprament! It's just that after stroking him once he's started purring, he then likes to get stuck in to his butt, which can be annoying if your trying to sleep.
Have tried Marmite and English Mustard, but he liked them! Please can anyone help!

I know two ways of creating B&W photos:
1) using the black and white feature on my camera
2) desaturating it in photochop

either way, it ends up being very "flat".

i tried playing with the curves and levels in PS but
it just ends up looking weird/unnatural,

i always see these stunning b&w photos with great contrast and i was wondering how i can achieve that...

or maybe it's cuz im not using a SLR?
i dont know...

This year for English, I have a teacher that our class hasn't ever had before. In the beginning, she's trying to do some projects to get to know us, and she assigned one where we have to bring three objects that describe us, or things that we like. One thing that I LOVE is writing, and I want something to represent that. I thought of a pen or pencil, but it's too common and not creative. It has to be something that fits is a regular-sized bag. I also thought of bringing in my favorite book, which is The Catcher in the Rye, and saying that it represents my love for that book and my love for [great] writing. You think I could pull that off? Do you have anything else that could signify writing? That's creative?
